Heads-Up! Edison Board of Delusional set to vote on that $282.2 million 'Twilight-Zone' School Budget for 2020-21

Well, looks like the $282.2 million School Budget for 2020-21 will be up for vote on Wednesday, May 6th.

The Preliminary Budget (which no one has yet to see) sent down to the County Super had $pending of $282.2 million, which is up a Whopping $20.1 million or 7.65% over last year's $262.1 million.

It comes with a Fiscal Year School Tax Levy of $240.0 million, which is up a Whopping $15.3 million or  6.8% over last year's $224.7 million.

The Fiscal Year Average Tax Increase in this School Budget is a Whopping six-fold $375.48 compared to last year's $56.39

Totally delusional given the state of affairs today when no one knows when their financial well-being and revenue stream will return.

Further, in this School Budget, they've dipped into the Bank Cap for $10.8 million for an addition at Lincoln School in spite of the fact that the Residents recently twice rejected their bogus overcrowding plans.

They also threw another $3.0 million into the Capital reserve and $699k into the maintenance reserve.

Now, not for nothing, but this Board is just out of touch with reality with this Preliminary School Budget for 2020-21 and needs to make some draconian cuts before they vote next Wednesday or their credibility will be pulled down the sewer by Super Dr. Bernie 'Shi-Referen-Dumb-ER' Bragen's irresponsible budget plans for 2020-21.

And here's a thought - how about the Edison Board of Delusional put the 2020-21 School Budget out in the public early (so it can be reviewed by the Residents and have time to come up with their queries) before they vote on whatever it is they will be voting on next Wednesday.

And I don't define early as the day of the meeting.

Nice to be Oblivious to Reality over there on Mythomania Lane at the intersection of Delusional Street and Dysfunction Junction. And oh by the way, this is the same School Board that sent a resolution to the State opposing the delay in your May 1st property tax payments.

Anyhoo, aren't you glad you gave up your Right to Vote on these Bloated, Out-of-Control $pending School Budgets year after year and especially this year when they went Super Ridiculous for money you don't have during this Pandemic?

Edison Board of Mythomania Still Wants Your Money - even if you don't have any Now!

Just saw tonight's Board of Mythomania's agenda - Can you say OINK! OINK! to the Biggest Bunch of Gluttons this town has ever known?!?

Wasn't bad enough with these 2 Ridiculous and Overpriced Bond Referendums and a Ridiculous tax hike proposed in the 2020-21 School Budget they recently put out, now this resolution opposing any delay in the May 1st property tax payments.

Oh geez, they can't make payroll or cover their other expenses - oh, just like everyone else Now!

You know, it wasn't likely that the State was ever going to delay the May 1st payment day for Property taxes but it's good to see what happens when anyone threatens the Board of Mythomania's major source of Revenue - the Edison Cash Cow.

Anyhoo, maybe you can pay your property taxes on May 1st with money you don't have so they can continue, without interruption, their Out-of-Control $pending.
