You really have to laugh!

Saw this piece here in MyCentral Jersey - 'Edison in 2016 by the numbers.'

Maybe it's me - but sure looks like there were a few other numbers and some other not so minor details left out of that piece:

Anyhoo, looks like Mayor 'Now 11.1%' ChoiLankey is stuck somewhere between actions and dreams - whatever that means.

Mayor Tom 'Now 11.1%' ChoiLankey's State of Edison Township Address - a whole lot of Nothing!?!

Well, saw the piece here in the SL. Not for nothing but that was a whole lot of nothing for somebody who is in his third year at the helm and who certainly has done a whole lot of 'Not Nice' things to the People here in Downtown Edison.

And really, enough with the Bruce Springsteen song lines. 'The state of Edison Township is somewhere between its actions and its dreams.' Anybody got any idea what actions and dreams he's talking about???

But hey, if he wants to use song line quotes, here's one if you're not one of the groupies of the party that has made Edison Safe for Hypocrisy:

The state of Edison Township is 'Bad..Bad..Bad to the Bone.'

And what the heck does 'Deliberate progress forward' mean?!? I guess 'Deliberate progress forward' is one way to describe taxing people to the hilt, and then try and defend it by claiming to be building a foundation for the town. Where was the foundation when he was on the council and took credit for keeping the taxes flat while blocking all that capital spending to repair the roads back then?

So, Blah..blah..blah.

Yeah, I get he and his all-Dem party rule over there at 100 Oligarchy Blvd. are dedicated to something but it sure looks like it's Not to You and Me.

Anyhoo, you surely get what you ask for here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison when you keep putting all that power in the hands of a same few over and over and over again! Are you enjoying it yet?

The State of the Township is well..Oligarchic!?!

Well, if you're going to tonight's State of the Township address at the Pines and can't wait to hear how wonderful things are here in Mayor Tom 'Now 11.1%' ChoiLankey's world, just remember to bring two things:

(1) $35.00 to $60.00 if you go to the cocktail hour with El Jefe de 100 Oligarchy Blvd. and, (2) a handkerchief to cover your nose and wipe your eyes when in close proximity of him.

Anyhoo, at least we're comforted in the knowledge that all the power in the hands of a few here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison doesn't go awry.

Mayor Tom 'Now 11.1%' ChoiLankey over at 100 Oligarchy Blvd. - at it again..Barf..Barf..Barf!?!

Well, just saw this piece 'Latest hires in Edison are Democratic insiders'  in the SL. Seriously, how much more abuse do You want to take from this all-Dem oligarchy going on here in Downtown Edison?

Anthony Russomanno AGAIN Mayor ChoiLankey!?!

Seriously, haven't you and your all-Dem Council done enough for the guy (and his family) with the longest title (CampaignManagerLawsuitSettlementRecipientConstituentRelationsAdministratorPlanningBoardMember)
here in Your Oligarchic 'DemBadLands?!?'

Now, you're moving him into a made-up Assistant Director of DPW with a $13,000 pay bump (up to $80,000) and paying for his classes for a DPW certificate to boot!?! And, by the way, why don't you pay out of your own pocket for the remaining 6 classes Russomanno has to take to get a DPW certificate!

What is Wrong with You Mayor Lankey? This appointment attaches such a stench to you that anyone in your presence is going to have to wear a permanent Nose-Plug from now on.

Just curious - but how many times are you going to go to the well for the benefit of your party and this guy at the expense of the People here in Downtown Edison?!?

Senor Russomanno - Photo credit to SL piece above; 'Thanks Tom' pop-up text - my addition:

Anyhoo, makes you wonder if Mayor ChoiLankey really is just a part-time mayor or simply just afraid of Russomanno for some reason?!? Mucho Disappointed in you Mayor ChoiLankey - to say the least.

Deputy Chief Ron Mieczkowski - the Right Person at the Right Time!

Saw the piece here in the SL about the promotion of Lt. Ron Mieczkowski to Deputy Chief. Congratulations to Deputy Chief Mieczkowski and best of luck in your new position.

And, while I may not always agree with or like what Mayor Tom 'Now 11.1%' ChoiLankey does here in the 'DemBadLands', you have to give credit where credit is due.

So, a Big Kudos to Mayor Lankey for his choice of Ronnie for Deputy Chief. A solid choice for the People of Downtown Edison.

Mayor Tom 'Now 11.1%" ChoiLankey - You owe the Council $42,500 for their 100% Raise! Please Pay Yourself!!

Well, no surprise here - a 7-0 Council vote on Wednesday night by Mayor Tom 'Now 11.1% ChoiLankey's 'Fresh Start Tour 'Entourage to award themselves a 100% raise.

Unlucky that they cancelled the Monday meeting at the last minute. Would of been interesting to ask them why they believe they deserve a 100% raise and why they did it the way they did.

Not talking about the extra $6,000/$6,500 they get (that's not the point) but the disrespect they show to the people of Edison.

I certainly don't believe that they deserve a raise for what they've done and continue to do to the people here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison but now that they have it - it should come out of Mayor ChoiLankey's pocket, since they certainly did more for him than you and me over the last two years.

PS: note to ADP - please send bill for Council Raises to Mayor ChoiLankey at 100 Oligarchy Blvd.

So, You asked for this Local Dem group (that makes Edison Safe for Hypocrisy) over and over and over again - you got them:

Anyhoo, if this doesn't tell you that we're always the butt of their joke - nothing will!

Mayor Tom 'Now 11.1%' ChoiLankey Should Pay the Council's 100% Raises Out of His Own Pocket!

In the 'DemBadLands' of Mayor Tom 'Now 11.1%' ChoiLankey, even the ridiculous is shoved down upon us. Attaching 100% Raises for the 'Fresh Start Tour Entourage, aka the Edison Township Council to the resolution raising the salary caps for administration personnel is tad bit much even for this all-Dem party governance, which has long made Edison Safe for Hypocrisy.

The only people who should believe this Council deserves a raise, much less 100%, for what they did to the residents and taxpayers over the last two years are those who've never looked at their tax bills or who've been out of town for those last two years.

And, if they believe they are do a raise for what they did, then Mayor ChoiLankey should pay it out of his own pocket - since they did a better job for him than they did for us.

So, in a town where checks and balances are a misnomer and there is absolutely no credible or rational reason for the Council to be doing this and right after an election to boot, there must be some other reasons why they're doing it.

Since the ridiculous is up for a vote tomorrow night, here's my take on the reasons, which are just as credible and rational as what they will try and tell you:

Anyhoo, this is Edison. You Get What You Ask For - and Then Some!

Top 10 Reasons Why

the 'Fresh Start Tour Entourage, commonly known as the Edison Township Council Should Give themselves 100% Raises!?!

10. Because a 100% Raise is in line with their definition of Stabilizing Taxes.

9. Because the two new council members have worked hard for a month and deserve a raise.

8. Because a 2% raise is good for some in town but it's just not quite for them.

7. Because they don't get health benefits like others in surrounding towns and they want them back like they use to have.

6. Because they should be rewarded for reducing Mayor Tom '11.1%' ChoiLankey's 2-year Muni-tax proposed increases of 11.1% down to 10.5% for a whopping six-tenths of 1% just for you.

5. Because they should be rewarded for going along with Mayor Tom '11.1" ChoiLankey's 2-year Sewer tax increases of 19.4% and 2.5% and 50% and 35% for residents and non-residents in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

4. Because they should be rewarded for looking like sheep caught in a headlight with the 2015 Sewer Tax over-billing.

3. Because playing politics with your lives while jockeying for position in the EDO pecking order is taking up a lot of time and they really need to be compensated for their efforts for themselves.

2. Because they can do whatever they want because you let them do it to you over and over and over and over.

1. Because with an all-Dem Edison Council, we don't face the 'Perils of one-party government' - they are the Perils of one-party government here in Downtown Edison.

Hahn 1 Russomanno 0 - Really, it's still going on?!?

Just saw this piece 'Edison Dem chairman sued by party's own lawyer - or is it former lawyer?' here in the SL.

Seriously, isn't it about time the EDO recognizes that their own committee people voted Hahn in as Chairman and start to work with him so all can reach a common ground on what's best for all the people of Edison?

How does something like this get to the point where it results in a lawsuit - valid or not? Shouldn't this of been resolved within their own internal ranks and where's Mayor Lankey and why does he let this get to this point - as the highest elected official we have here in Downtown Edison?

You know, The EDO once used the slogan 'People Not Politics' in their campaign literature and it's not hard to see why they don't anymore.

So, here's my thoughts on this latest dysfunctional public offering from the EDO - give it a rest and sort out your own internal issues yourselves and Stop embarrassing the People of Edison.

Anyhoo, if Anthony Russomanno wants to run again for Chairman this year, then go for it. But in the meantime, Hahn is Chairman and everybody should respect and work with that bit of reality. Hey, the people who vote are the decision-makers. And they (committee people) decided Hahn is their Chairman. What's the problem? Can we ignore the fact that the people of Edison re-elected the Edison Council just because we may not like it?!?

'I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes. There's Raises all around me, and so the money flows.'

Well, the election is over here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison and time for the gluttony to begin. Saw the piece here in the SL where the powers that be want to increase the salary ranges, which includes doubling the salary for the 'Fresh Start Tour Entourage' commonly known as the Edison Council.

Now, I got nothing against offering competitive salaries to attract and get the best possible people available for the town or providing raises to those in place based upon performance. But somehow, just not sure that the current salary caps are the reason we can't attract the quality of people that they say they want but can't get or how they measure performance on the existing staff.

And seriously, who cares what they do in other towns? Every town is different with different structures, tax bases and their own set of unique issues. This is Edison and the last time I looked, nobody from these other towns pays taxes in Edison.

Be that as it may, you really have to chuckle at the Council looking to double their salary from $6,000.00 to $12,000.00 - and waiting until after the election to propose it. Now, it's not the money that offends me here but lack of respect they show to the people of Edison.

But, it's true what they say, we get the type of government we deserve here in downtown Edison.

Anyhoo, here's my take on giving raises to the do nothing 'Fresh Start Tour Entourage' who give new meaning to Stabilizing Taxes:

But hey, at least we're comforted in the knowledge that the Council first has to Vote to Give Themselves a Raise!?! Now, that's what you call Checks and Balances!?!
