Edison Committee of the Whole Meeting Changed - but still a Hole All Right!

Well, maybe it's me but can anyone take this Committee of the Whole thingie seriously anymore?

Who cares that they're changing the date. This a a Big joke on the People of Edison.

Seems those 7 Processing Clerks investigating this thing should be interviewing themselves. They seem to have better information than the people giving testimony.

This thingie just makes the Stench they've left behind for over a year now -  a Bigger Stench.

Anyhoo, it's a Hole All Right.

Pay attention to that $189.5m Edison September School Bond Referendum - it's an ambush in the making!

Well, not for nothing, but according the the Board of Mythomania there's supposed to be a School Bond Referendum on the ballot in September. That's nice, that's in 2 months or so and it's summer now and nobody's going to be around paying attention and guess what?

They've yet to get the approvals from the NJ DoE which is the documents you really need to see as to what they're really doing, what the new additions really are, what the renovations really are, what the construction costs really are per sq. ft., what the soft costs really are, what the state-aid is going to be for new additions and renovations, the actual financing costs and finally what this thingie is actually going to Cost You!

Without this information and time to digest it, it would be impossible for the residents and taxpayers of Edison to have enough information to step into the voting booth. This general and overall presentations they're putting out are just that, general - it doesn't provide what you need to understand what you're being asked to vote on.

Now, don't get me wrong - we need something to address the overcrowding but this may very well turn out Not to be it once you have enough information to understand it. And certainly, without this information in time - this attempt would be nothing less than an ambush on your sympathy and your pocketbooks.

Towards that end, I sent an email to the Board asking when they expect to be able to provide this information. And since I don't expect Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi' to respond to my query - I'm hoping one of the other Board Members will provide the information.

Here's the email:

Anyhoo, don't be complacent on this Proposed Bond Referendum - it's too Big to get Wrong!

Señor Lankey's now backing the 'Fake Democrats' - and they're letting him?!?

Can you Smell the Stench of Hypocrisy?

Well, I get that there are No Political Friends and No Political Enemies, just Political Opportunities but you just gotta shake your head at this one here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison.

Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey went against the Democratic Party Line and backed the 'Real Democrats' (Lombardi & Sendelsky etc.) in the Primary election so now he's backing the Fake Democrats in the General election. Kind of puts his credibility and relevance in question now, wouldn't you say?

You can't make this stuff up!

Geez, I don't know but with the $851m Suez Sewer & Water Deal flying around, the arguably bogus Committee of the Whole thingie playing out, taxes out the kazoo, overcrowding being mishandled and the Stench still Hanging over our Town from that 2017 political flyer - you just gotta ask yourself, what the hell are Coyle, Patil, Brescher and Ship-Freeman thinking?

For sure Lankey is trying to salvage his political life but why are those four playing his game? If they're really for change, then why are they hooking up with the very person whose stewardship they claim to so despise?

Where I come from that's called HYPOCRISY and it's why the Local Democratic Party has and continues to make Edison Safe for Hypocrisy - no matter who they put on the ticket.

What? You think The Local Democratic Party is coming together now? That's a Hoot!

Are these people willing to put everything that's been going on in this town aside just to win? And really, they can take that argument that you have to win first before you can make changes and shove it. You know who used that bogus argument? Former Mayor Jun 'RForMe' Choi and look how well that worked out for us.

So, to my friends on this fundraiser ticket - Shame on You for doing what you're doing here.

Anyhoo, you'd have to be dead from the neck up to ever vote for any Local Democrat in this upcoming General election - unless, of course, you don't mind being played for fools.

Edison 3rd Quarter Property Tax Bills are out - Estimated, of course!

Well, it 's almost the end of June 2019 and, of course, there still isn't any 2019 Muni Budget . So we get these estimated thingies that no one can understand - just a bill to pay without any explanation of how much of an increase is built into this amount you have to pay by August 1, 2019.

Not for nothing but with half the year almost over, if they wait any longer to come up with a Muni-Budget - we won't need a budget, we'll have the actual numbers for the year. But hey, look at it this way - it makes it easier for them, they only have to budget for 6 months instead of 12 months.

But they do this to us every year so let's move on.

Looks like they used a Property Tax Rate of $5.593 (per $100) in this estimate. That's up 10.1-Cents or 1.8% over 2018 Property Tax Rate of $5.492. This is the Total Property Tax Rate which includes Muni, County, School and Garbage Taxes.

Don't know all the details by taxing entity as yet but as soon as they are available, I will put them up here. You can see the 2019 School Budget tax increase in a previous post.

Here's something that may help you see Your Tax increase built into this 2019 Estimated 3rd Quarter Tax Bill.

Recognize these numbers could change based upon the completion of the 2019 Muni-Budget.

Anyhoo, bet you can't wait to see where Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey takes that 17.1% and where Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro aka.. Deputy Dog takes those ever increasing County taxes.

Well, this is disappointing - the Search for Permanent Super drags on and on and on...

Well, looks like the Interim Super over there on Mythomania Lane is going to be around another year. He employment contract has just been extended to June 30, 2020.

Looks like it's pretty much the same as his current contract that expires on June 30, 2019 except for Merit Goals. There are no Merit Goals in this contract.

Guess that's a good thing anyway since some of the Merit Goals the Board of Mythomania comes up with are so sophomoric and pedantic that you probably could achieve them by just showing up for work.

Take it they're still collecting responses from that boiler-plate survey they put out that didn't allow for comments.

Geez, not for nothing but you'd think that if they were taking this seriously that they would of already found a permanent Super. It's kinda that important. The Interim has been around from about September of 2018 or so.

It is what it is over there under Jerry 'Needs to Step-down ' Shi's inept leadership.

However, there is an opportunity coming up this November to put some real oversight back on the Board of Mythomania when Peng, Brescher and Ward come up for reelection. Brescher will be running for Edison Council and Ward, most likely, will not run again.

So, there's an opportunity to fill all three spots with people who want to get some real leadership over there and to effect some real positive changes that factors in the needs of all the stakeholders and factors out the disgraceful political interference and maneuvering that came with moving the School Board elections to November.

We sorely need someone with a financial background on the Board that isn't afraid to speak truth to power - and if you're out there and are interested in running, please let me know. I will do anything I can to help you.

Anyhoo, bet you can't wait to see the details for that ridiculously humongous $191 million piecemeal driven School Bond Referendum coming quietly and secretly your way in September - you know, the one where they've given themselves 3 bites at the apple to pass. DUH!

Edison Councilman Sam 'big-Boy pants' Joshi takes a stand - too little too late!

Well, saw this piece here in Tap into Edison all about Joshi adding his name to a growing list of elected officials calling for the resignation of DPW Director Anthony Russomanno.

Duh!

Seems Mr. Joshi once again left his 'big-Boy pants' home but apparently he likes the publicity, I guess.

Lo Siento Mucho - but this guy just cracks me up. As one of the all Dem-party's 7 Processing clerks here in Downtown Edison, you just got to shake your head when any of them try and jump on the band-wagon. The same 7 processing clerks who left the Stench hanging over this town for over a year now from that 2017 political campaign flyer and are now running that, arguably, bogus Committee of the Whole.

Seriously, what are you expecting from an all Dem-Party controlled town that has long made Edison Safe for Hypocrisy?

You expect anything coming out of any of their mouths to be helpful in any way?

And Joshi, with all the serious matters going on in this town, does a Halloween skit imitating Señor Lankey from Señor Lankey's office, which later had to be taken down. Hard to take this guy seriously and he needs to go back into the EDO's recycle bin for some more training.

But I digress, so let's move on. Take this beauty of a quote from Joshi - 'When there is no accountability, there is no trust left, and when this happens it fosters a hostile work environment where they are no checks and balances left.'

After you Stop laughing, of course, can anyone remember when there was ever any accountability in this one-party town or even better - any checks and balances?

Here's another beauty - 'I seek and also ask the Mayor to demand the resignation of his public works director.' Whoa..bet Señor Lankey stopped in his tracks when he got wind of this seek and ask conundrum.

Geez, I don't know but instead of grandstanding at Council meetings so the press will cover it, here's a thought - just go down to Mayor Lankey's office and demand it there if it's so important. You can chow down on some popcorn with Señor Lankey and discuss it.

And, if your gonna ask for resignations, then I suggest you resign along all the other 6 Processing Clerks that have given Señor Lankey and the Local Dem-party free and unchecked reign over this town for too long now.

Anyhoo, wake up everyone and recognize the hypocrisy going on here. It's a Stench that will permanently affect this town as long as you leave this all-Dem Oligarchy in control.

Edison Dem-Committee People by District - June 4, 2019 Unofficial Election Results

Well, I was a tad bit curious so here's the unofficial election results for Districts 1 - 78 Committee People.

Source: Edison Clerk's Office

Anyhoo, recognize that it's unofficial results and may be subject to change.

The one-time I actually voted for Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro, he Loses! - Duh..I should of been voting for him all along!

Well, it's never been my thingie to kick anybody when they're down or rain on anyone's parade - so let me just congratulate the Dem-Party Column B winners of yesterday's Edison Dem-Party Primary election for Council here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison.

At least the Local Edison Dem-Party campaign circus is over for now. And, go figure with my write-in votes, the one time I ever voted for Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro for public office, he loses.

Double Duh on me..I should of been voting for him all along!

Though I am a little disappointed that Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro didn't make it on to the Council but hey, Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl did make a run for Freeholder. Score one up for him with the Dem-party. Got to see what happens next though with those two. And Board of Mythomania President Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi - guess you didn't make it on the Council either. Unlucky!

Not for nothing but if the Republicans in this town don't recognize that the Goose just dropped the Golden Egg in their lap for the November election, then there's really not much more to say.

Here's the unofficial results:

Anyhoo, enjoy the Smell - the Stench still lingers over this one-party town!

It's a Beautiful Day in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison - but Not if you're a Democrat!?!

Well, it's election day in 'Downtown' Edison and what better way is there to Vote for Democracy in Edison than by Not Voting for Democrats?

So, here's how I'll be casting my votes - all previously explained in a previous post:

Anyhoo, someone please remind Charlie to Vote for himself for both the Council and Committeeman.

Edison's Top 10 Council 'Write-ins' for Tuesday's Democratic Primary!

10. Edison Board of Ed (EBoE) President Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi - so we can get him away from all that money over there at the EBoE and he can be closer to Señor Lankey and Councilman Patil.

9. Former Councilwoman Melissa 'Beware the Perils of Perilstein' Perilstein - so she can lead the charge to bring back former Mayor Jun 'RForMe' Choi..oops, I mean 'Reform.'

8. District 31 'Real Democrat' Committee Candidate Rich Sweeney - so he can be closer to the 'Real Democrats' in town hall and leave us other Democrats in District 31 alone.

7. Former Edison Mayor George Spadoro's Chief of Staff, Artie Cifelli - so I can say I've seen more of him in the last month than I've seen any of my elected Council Members in the last year.

6. Unofficial Mayor of the Clara Barton 'Farmer's Market' Ester Nemitz - so she can bring back a positive message about our town for a change like she did for the Farmer's Market.

5. A Woman whose Family You Really Don't Want to Mess With, Elizabeth Ann Hahn - so she can make sure that the rest of the Council doesn't act up again.

4. Former Councilman Anthony Massaro - so he can bring back some decorum, civility and serenity to the Council Chambers since no one on the council knew if he was saying something good or bad with those 10-letter words he liked to use.

3. Former Mayor Jun 'RForMe' Choi - so he can get another chance at reforming the town.

2. Former Mayor George Spadoro - so he can bring back the good old days of Open Mayor's Night once a week.

1. Finally, your friend and mine, Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro, aka Deputy Dog - so he can just switch places with Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl and Señor Lankey doesn't try and put him on the town's payroll.

Best Choices:

  • Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi - to get him off the Board of Education
  • Ester Nemitz - to get some positive news out about this town
  • Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro, aka Deputy Dog - to keep him off the Edison payroll
  • Elizabeth Ann Hahn - to put the checks and balances in over both the Administration and Council
