Just a Reminder - Deadline for Moving Edison School Board Election Back to April - January 21, 2019!

Well, appreciate all the discussion going on between the Council and School Board Committees' about moving the school board elections back to April but time is running out if they want to make the change.

Looks like a resolution must be passed after the November 2018 election and before the 2019 deadline discussed in the paragraph below.

Although N.J.S.A. 19:60-1.1 (c) provides no statutory deadline for the date of the resolution, if the 2019 school election will be moved from November (2019) to April (2019), written notice of the change in the school election date must be given to the county clerk no less than 85 days prior to the third Tuesday in April to take effect for the 2019 election. For 2019, the 85th day prior to the third Tuesday in April is January 21, 2019.

Seems with school budgets now exceeding $250 million for which we, the taxpayers, pay some 90% of the total bill - that we should have the right to vote on these budgets. This doesn’t even include the Lease purchase agreements they enter into that go around voter approval for capital additions, the ability to automatically raise the tax up to the 2% cap (when they’re not eating into the cap bank) which just allows them to carry forward exponentially the spending inefficiencies in their budgets, the unwillingness to provide info against the budget for staffing which results in this staffing shell-game where they hire non- budgeted staff and hide it from public view in their public budgets, their constantly hoarding state aid meant for tax relief and then there’s their inability to be open and transparent with the public about what they’re doing with all that money.

And yes, the current board members would see their terms shortened if we move the elections back to April - however, seems only fair since the board members who were on when we moved the elections to November saw their terms extended to accommodate the change. Didn't seem to concern anyone at the time.

And really, do we want to believe that the inconvenience to a few board members outweighs the benefits to all the People of Edison of having a say in $250+ million annual School Budgets?

So, with all due respect to the Council and Board of Education Committees', time to make a decision one way or the other and not let politics get in the way of the January 21, 2019 deadline and therefore, deny the people of Edison a chance to have a say in these huge amounts of money being spent by the school district.

From the NJDoE - Moving November Elections to April:

Anyhoo, here's a chance for the powers that be to do something right for the People of Edison - take it.

Edison Board of Mythomania's Merit Goals for Interim Super?!?

Well, as you can read in past blog posts about O'Malley's Merit Bonuses, not a big fan of the Board's 'Merit Bonuses' because the goals they use to set the bonuses are usually sophomoric and often less than substantive.

Their qualitative goals are usually a hoot and just showing up for work will usually qualify. Throw in the fact that the Board mistakenly confuses giving bonuses for something that's part of the job you're hired to do - then you get the picture.

Just sayin,' Merit Bonuses over there on Mythomania Lane - waste of taxpayer money and just a way to get around the Super Salary Cap.

Be that as it may, here's where you can see what the Board sent down to the County Super for approval of the Interims Merit Bonus for 2018-19 School Year.

You can see the Interims Contract (signed in October, 2018) in the October 19, 2018 post.

It’s not that hard to figure out what the board did here. Looks like they simply took the max bonus 14.99% of his cap salary of $196,584 to get the $29,467.95. If history is any indication of the %’s used, then they used 3.33% for the quantitative goals and 2.5% for the qualitative goals. Assuming there are only 3 quantitative goals and 2 qualitative goals then the computer, language arts and math goals are each worth 3.33% of $196,584 or $6.546.25 and the referendum and security goals are each worth 2.50% of $196,584 or $4,914.60.

In sum, the quantitative goals are worth 9.99% of $196,584.00 or $19,638.75 and the qualitative goals are worth 5.0% or $9.829.20 - for a total of 14.99% or $29,467.95.

Of course, this raises questions about how these individual goals were weighed and where you draw the line between what’s part of the interim super’s job and what extraordinary effort rises to a level for a bonus. Arguably, like in the past, these merit goals seem more like a way to add to the salary cap rather than addressing the substantive issues facing the school district.

So, that brings his total Salary and Bonus to $226,051.95 ($196,584.00 + 29,467.95) if he achieves all these goals in the time he has until June 30th.

Here's the numbers:

And here's the Merit Goals:

Anyhoo, it's just your money they're not adequately disclosing and informing you of in their December 2018 Action Meeting agenda.

Christmas in Edison 2018 - Jingle Bells..Jingle Bells!

Christmas in Downtown Edison – 2018

Twas’ a month before Christmas and those sly little elves,
Edison’s Mayor Lankey & EBoE Prez Shi labored to benefit themselves.
Again teamed up to infuse politics into the education process,
despite Last Year’s Election Stench that left the town in quite a national mess.

One rules with No Checks and Balances while taxing away,
and the other tried to stack the board with his Single-minded way.
Not remotely caring a tad bit what the people might think,
they again place Politics before People in spite of the noxious stink.

One has a Council that let Sneak in a Forever Tax for Open Space,
and the other doesn’t see that blocking public scrutiny is a self-serving disgrace.
If Mayor Tom ‘Now 17.1%’ ChoiLankey is so quick to jump on Shi’s bandwagon,
then why is it the long-overdue Overcrowding issue is still so sadly a-laggin’?

And putting their thumbs to the tip of his noses while laughing at You and Me,
Lankey and the Dem-Party leave a Hanging Stench over the town for all to see.
And Shi with his mind-bogglingly inept attempt at the authoritarian way,
doesn’t get that the People won’t accept it with millions of our tax dollars in play .

They’re not concerned about disrespecting the public per se,
dubious transparency, misinformation and misdirection is their ruling way.
Lankey knew it was the only way he could hang around and stay,
and Shi with Dem-party help was assured a chance to have his misguided way.

So while we all scratch our heads and say What the Hey!,
Lankey keeps doing it to you again and Shi is left blindly leading the way.
And then there’s tax-um up ‘Deputy-dog’ Charlie ‘I Abstain’ Tomaro again,
with the 23.5% County tax hike over the last 5 years you sure wanna befriend.

In this season of giving, Lankey & Shi are again playing to take,
Lankey continuing without any Checks & Balances remains a big mistake.
And Shi with a feeble but obvious attempt to hold on to a plurality,
needs to be Voted Out as Board President with the Board finally accepting reality.

If in this feeling I’m not alone,
then take up your pen or pick up the phone.
Let Lankey & Shi know that it's People Not Politics,
and make the Edison Board of Education election to April fix.

With a lot yet to be accomplished by those wearing the all Dem-party hats,
continue to believe in and fight for Democracy – just not the Local Democrats.
And I heard him exclaim with all their maneuvering in hand,

Merry Christmas to Edison, and let all the People be scammed!?!

Well..another year has gone by again over there on Mythomania Lane!

Almost time to put the tree back up again.

And while we're at it, here's the rest of my Mythomania Lane wish list for this holiday season;

(1) that Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi recognizes that he really, really needs to Step-down as Board President and really, really does so.

(2) this is November and we're into the 5th month of the new school year and it would be nice to have a set of Board goals for the 2018-19 school year - especially since it's kind of important to know what their priorities are before the new school year is over and, not to mention, the interim super stands to make up to a max of 14.99% when they translate those not yet done Board goals into his performance bonus criteria.

(3) we don't let another school year go by without a permanent superintendent.

Anyhoo, what do I know, I still can't figure out how we've made such a mess of things in this town.

Edison Nov 6th Election Results

According to the Middlesex County Live Election Results (Unofficial), Ralph Errico (I), Elizabeth Conway and Yunia 'Yuna' Chen won the Three 3-Year seats on the Edison Board of Education.

The Edison Open Space Question was defeated by a vote of 8,374 to 8,019.

Sunday, November 4, 2018

On Nov. 6th - Vote to Keep Democracy Safe from Local Dem-party Politics in Edison!

Whether you see it or not, it certainly is being trampled upon all over town and arrogantly so - Right in Your Face!

Over there at 100 Oligarchy Blvd. - don't be sneakily tricked into Voluntarily Taxing Yourself For
Open Space
FOREVER!
Nice - letting this ambush Forever Tax ballot question fly under the radar for so long. Guess another 15-years wasn't good enough. A secret Forever Tax is better. So, let's see how that works - best I can figure out, even acquiring all the available remaining open space in town would take, let's see, a Tad Bit Less Time than
FOREVER!!

DON'T BE FOOLISH - VOTE NO! ON THE EDISON OPEN SPACE QUESTION

Over there on Mythomania Lane - Board President Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi is doing his best to fill the board with members who will continue his attempt to hinder and block board member involvement with those who don't agree with him and continuing to hinder and block public scrutiny of his stewardship - which is a mind-bogglingly inept thing to try and do with hundreds of millions of your tax dollars in play.

So, you need to keep Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi's opaque, inept and ineffective leadership from continuing on over there, with the help of the Local Dem-party, by keeping the stench of politics out of the education process and;

Vote for:
 1J   Elizabeth Conway

 2K  Ralph Errico

 1L   Shivi Prasad-Madhukar

You really need to Vote for Democracy in this captive one-party town.

Anyhoo, Remember to Vote in this election cycle - You have a Lot to Lose if You Ignore What's Happening on both sides of town here in 'Downtown Edison'.

Friday, November 2, 2018

Edison Local-Dems Ultimate Dream Tax - a FOREVER TAX!!

Vote NO! on Nov. 6th for Edison's Forever Tax aka 1-Cent Open Space Tax.

We already have enough Forever Local Dem-party politicians and the never-ending taxes that go with them. Don't forget what they did with the last 15-year 1-Cent tax. They went out and borrowed against it and created more debt and debt service payments. Can you imagine the debt and related debt service payments they're going to create with a 1-Cent tax in perpetuity? Be budget-conscious, even if they are not.

This Beauty of a Tax is FOREVER!! And, last time I checked, forever is a long time!

Think we need some new town markers?

Anyhoo, who wants to be silly enough to be the first to SELF-TAX - FOREVER!! (besides Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro aka Deputy Dog, of course) here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison.

6 Easy Ways to Remember Why the EDO has Made Edison Safe for Hypocrisy!?!

When will you realize that the Local Dem-Party control over this town here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison is So Not in Your Best Interests.

If these 6 simple pics don't tell you what's Wrong win this One-party rule here in Edison and make you want to vomit in your own mouth, then Congratulations - you're a Dem-party Groupie!

Keep voting the Dem-party line and ignoring the people they put on the ticket. They've done so much to help you in return for your vote.

Here's my Scary Halloween Pics:

Anyhoo, with 6 days left until the election - good to know that our Local Leaders here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison Still Let the Stench Linger over Edison from Last Year's Election.

But I guess stuff like this is more important. Hey, I'm all for millennials, my granddaughter is one, but I always thought it meant those who reached adulthood in the 21st century. Seems he hasn't and what's with everything he does labeled with his Instagram & FaceBook pages? It shouldn't be about him but about the People he supposedly represents. Here's a thought Sam 'Millennial Councilman' Joshi - Stop with the Self-Promotion and Start looking out for those you Supposedly represent and you can start with answering about those fliers from last year's election.

And Mayor Lankey - what were you thinking? What are you 12 years-old?

Wednesday, October 24, 2018

Enough is Enough with these taxes here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison!

Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey and his Band of 7 Processing clerks need to take a deep breath and get serious with these outrageous tax increases after tax increases. They ought to pay attention to what they're doing with all that tax money they've already taken from us every year instead of asking us to pay for their $pending inefficiencies.

Besides, the County has been consistently and outrageously taxing us for Open Space already. Since 2003, they have increased the County Open Space tax by a Whopping 70.7%!

Kind of tired of constantly paying for the Lack of Checks and Balances in this one-party town.

What you say, it's only a few bucks! Yeah, it is so let them take it from the money they already got from us.

Why would You Tax Yourself (in Perpetuity no less) to pay for the inadequate and inefficient stewardship of this town by this all Dem-party rule over there at 100 Oligarchy Boulevard?

Here's what has happened to You in this town just over the last 5 years:

..and You Shouldn't naively go along with some more by Taxing Yourself?!?

Anyhoo, don't be foolish by letting them trick you into Taxing Yourself to pay for their shortcomings in managing or, more appropriately, mismanaging the needs of the town over there at 100 Oligarchy Boulevard.

VOTE NO ON THE EDISON OPEN SPACE ON NOVEMBER 6, 2018

Tuesday, October 23, 2018

Edison 1-Cent Open Space Tax on Nov. 6th Ballot - Seriously, Vote NO! Don't Self-Tax in an already Overtaxed Town!

Slipped that right in without any fanfare, $neaky bunch, aren't they! And this one doesn't even look like it has an expiration date - for Local DemBadLand-Perpetuity, I guess?!?

A Repeat of the August 31, 2018 Post to Refresh Your Memory:

Don't be fooled into Self-Taxing Yourselves here in Downtown Edison - AGAIN!
Well, saw this piece here about resurrecting the famous or should I say, infamous 1-Cent Open Space Tax here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison. Seems it's going to a ballot question in this November's election.

That 15-year 1-Cent piece-of-work tax mercifully ended in 2013. You can ask Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro, aka Deputy dog all about that 1-Cent Open Space Tax.

Oh no..it's deja vu all over again:

Let's face it, the Local Dems don't exactly have a great history of $pending your tax dollars - from $5.6 million spent for some dirt and a mud puddle, aka Oak Tree Pond to the 1-Cent Open Space Tax that expired in 2013.

And then there's the possibility of condemning property again using eminent domain. Kind of ironic don't you think? You're voluntarily taxing yourself so they can possibly use the money to condemn your property!?!

Anyone seriously thinking about self-taxing themselves with another Open Space Tax to support the Local Dems frivolous spending, well - deserves what they get. Just look at what they did with all that money they got by leveraging out that first 15 year Open Space Tax. Don't know, ask Señor Russomanno, he'll tell you what a great job they did with Your Tax money back then.

Seriously now, haven't we had enough of tax increases here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison - year after year, after year, after year?!?

Here's just the last 5-Years (and this doesn't even include the Sewer Taxes):

Anyhoo, don't be foolish - it's one-thing to be continuously taxed to the hilt here by the governing bodies but it's quite another to let them trick you into taxing Yourselves.

Friday, October 19, 2018

Uh..Oh Senor Mayor Lankey

Hey Tom - nice picture of you with this year's Lankey Team for the Edison Board of Education. Just curious but is all that blue clothing thing going on a subliminal Local Dem Party thingie or just a random coincidence?

Anyway, just a suggestion but the next time you see Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi, you might want to remind him he is President of the Current Board and it's probably not a good idea to criticize himself and the rest of the current board in these fliers when trying to hype his candidates for the board.

Say Cheese Jerry Shi 😎:

Geez Tom, does he think that no one in town knows this is his ticket? Everybody does. But hey, nice location for this shot with the EDO banner in the background.

Anyhoo, if you really want change to the Board of Education, and believe me that under Mr. Shi's leadership you really..really do, then there's three simple things you need to do:

1. Stop Jerry Shi..Vote Shivi Prasad-Madhukar

2. EDO Committee People, No Way..Vote Elizabeth Conway

3. Less Politics, More Education..Ignore this Political ticket

Seriously now, you can't let Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi and his Local Dem-party cronies let politics infiltrate and prevail over education in our town. He's leadership is all form and no substance and his attempt to squash any resistance to his attempted oligarchy needs to be shut down come November 6th.

So, don't be fooled with what's going on here:

Anyhoo, what do I know? I still can't figure out why Shi would think this type flier would make anyone believe that these three candidates are independent.

Edison Board of Education Interim Super Contract for Paul Saxton just approved

Well, here's the contract for the Interim Super approved at the October 15, 2018 Action Meeting. Looks like they went around the Super Salary Cap with Merit Bonuses up to 14.99% - up to three quantitative and two qualitative. Here we go again!

The contract runs from September 25, 2018, or as soon thereafter as possible, through June 30, 2019 and may be extended for an additional term not to exceed two calendar years.

Salary is $756.09 for days actually worked and will be capped at $196,584 pro-rated for the 2018-19 school year.

As you can read in past blog posts about O'Malley's Merit Bonuses, not a big fan of the Board's 'Merit Bonuses' because the goals they use to set the bonuses are usually sophomoric and often less than substantive.

Anyhoo, read it and see how the Board of Mythomania decided to $pend your money on an interim basis.

Looks like Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey can't get enough of Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi?!?

Last year it was the BoE Unity Team for the Edison Board of Education and this year it's Student & Taxpayer Advocates. What a Guy - he's back for more. Not like last year's election was a banner one for the town.

Kind of funny, Student & Taxpayer Advocates. Bet Senor Lankey can show them something about raising taxes..

Well, thanks Tom - I now know who Not to Vote for this year.

Wednesday, October 17, 2018

Hunh! Remember when the Edison Board of Education was about Education?!?

Geez - Racist flier, People for Progress, Shannon Peng's email exchanges with Paul Distefano, Legal advice from Board Counsel, Leaked Counsel opinions, Requests for Board resignations, Go to an Edison Council Meeting, Councilman Sam Joshi knows...

Good thing they're not talking about District Overcrowding, hiring a Superintendent, addressing the $pending inefficiency, bloated school budgets, an ineffective, opaque and dysfunctional school board leadership and moving the school district forward!?!

Nah, moving the school board elections to November has nothing to do with the politicization and deterioration of the Edison Board of Education, aka Board of Mythomania, Board of EDems, Board of Hoarders, Board of Silence, Board of Cap Bank Munchers Extraordinaire and self-described Board of Dysfunction.

Good job Edison Board of Eduction President Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi for bringing us to this embarrassing position - your leadership is an inspiration to one - yourself. You should Step-down as Board President. And to my friends on the Board who are enabling this sophomoric and demoralizing style of leadership with your Silence - step-Up and do something about it.

Anyhoo, hey Councilman Sam Joshi - School Board Member Rich Brescher is passing the buck over to you and says you should share what you know about the racist flier with the public. So Mr. Joshi, what do you have to share with the public?

Edison High School Class of '68 - 50th Reunion

On a Happy note, here's the pic from the Class of '68's 50th Reunion held this past weekend:

And here's their tribute to those classmates who are no longer with us - Nice:

Congratulations to the Class of '68 on the 50th Reunion and here's to many more.

Geez, haven't we had enough 'anonymous' things in this sanctimonious town??

With only 24 days left until the election, the Stench Still Hanging over Edison from Last Year's Election and that anonymous flier Still Lays with those Who Let it Linger - and it looks like they will Let it Linger on:

Thought it was Shameful for our Local Elected Officials to let our town continue to be labeled a national disgrace for so long - but I was wrong, they're not Shameful, they're Shameless.

Which brings me to the latest 'anonymous' thing flying around in this town. Seems Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi, who clearly and unmistakably from his rhetoric and actions since he's been in charge has been trying his best to block public scrutiny of his leadership, has requested a legal write-up of the 'Limitations of Public Comment' and had received such a write-up from the Board's attorney marked privileged and confidential - not a public document.

Now, make no mistake, Jerry Shi is one Bad Leader and he really shouldn't be in that role anymore - his leadership is dangerous to the publics (and some on the Boards) ability to understand, be informed and be part of how our children are and will be educated in this town, and to make matters worse, we have a Board that doesn't do anything about it.

Now, back to the Privileged and Confidential Memorandum. Seems it found its way on to the internet from an 'anonymous' source. Once I saw it, I made an OPRA Request to see the Memorandum and the costs associated with preparing and distributing it to the Mr. Shi and the School Board.

Personally, I find this totally in line with what makes Mr. Shi dangerous as the leader of the Edison Board of Education and am offended that he would incur legal fees at our expense to further an inappropriate course of action and it's very scary - and it should scare you too.

Having said that - what's going on here is totally Wrong.

Mr. Shi has every right to request the Board's attorney to provide legal information for the Board. From what I can see from the purported memorandum, there's nothing in there that's new - just a bunch of legal cases and citations on Public Comments at Board of Education meetings. If the Board disagreed with the memorandum, wanted more cases and citations or clarification, they could of just stated it or asked for it.

What's new here? Nothing. Jerry Shi is looking for every way possible to Block You from scrutinizing his leadership.

Is that any secret to You? It shouldn't be.

The Board has to be able to confer with their attorney and expect that it will be treated with confidentiality where appropriate. How else can the Board properly function?

So, having this purported memorandum, clearly marked privileged and confidential - not a public document, leaked is just Wrong.

It undermines the work and credibility of the Board of Education - both which are arguably questionable already.

Any Board Member who had a problem with this memorandum, and they should of had problems, could of just come out in public and denounced it for what it was.

But they didn't.

Finally, it's simply wrong for anyone to put this memorandum out in the public domain. Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi needs to go but not this way. For those who believe the end justifies the means, that only works if the people forget the means. Not likely on this one.

And Really..what makes this anonymous person any different than the one who put out the anonymous flier in last year's election? Nothing - they're both cowards and Hypocrisy rules once again here in Downtown Edison.

Anyhoo, how bad does it need to get over there on Mythomania Lane before we put an end to Jerry Shi's Leadership and his band of enablers?

Sunday, October 7, 2018

How to Make a Bad situation Worse over there on Mythomania Lane!?!

Geez, you'd have to of been out of town for the last nine months or so to seriously consider supporting Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi's team for the Board of EDems.

Haven't you seen enough of this guy's less than inspiring yet single-minded leadership?

Anyhoo, just curious - but does anybody know how they know who received a mail-in ballot? I'd really like to know how that works.

ETEA Candidates' Night

You know, I'm fortunate and appreciative in being invited to these ETEA sponsored events for the last few years by Mr. Bowden, President of the ETEA. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend tonight's meeting. But I did tune in to the live FaceBook broadcast when I could and then watched the whole thing later on.

I think this is another way to get to know the candidates running for the Board of Ed and to be better informed before going into the voting booth. So you should all take the time to watch the broadcast.

As a general rule, I understand that these events are put on by the ETEA and the questions put forth are what the Union Leadership thinks are most important for its members to hear from the candidates - which is what they should do. No problem there. It's their meeting, they can do what they want.

Overall though, I'm a little disappointed with this one. Though the questions covered such things as a new super, basic building maintenance and overcrowding, security, bullying and shared services to name a few, I found they left out a bunch of important substantive topics reflecting the reality of today - like the politicization of the board, the lack of oversight, the ability to communicate effectively and to make cogent and persuasive argument of important board issues, the ineffective and inefficient spending of $251 million budgets, the lack of transparency on the board and the possibility of moving the elections back to April given the current state of affairs.

Further, I found some of the lead up by the moderator to the questions to be more substantive (albeit sometimes funny) than the questions themselves. Also, found it a tad bit wrong and unfair to allow current board members to question the candidates. That should of never happened. In addition, it might of been helpful if they had said that Paul Distefano withdrew from the election as they announced the candidates. Some people may not know that as yet.

As for me, I didn't get much from this Candidates' Night but it's another source for you to get to see who said what about what.

Anyhoo, no matter who you decide to vote for - please take the time to get informed in any possible way that you can and Vote.

Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi - really, really, really Needs to Step-down!?!

Well, watched the latest version of Edison's dysfunction function in action, aka Edison Board of Education Action Meeting of September 24, 2018.

So, lets see - with all the important things that are long overdue to be addressed and discussed with the public, what is El Presidente Shi's biggest concern?

How to Handle Public Comments!?!

His continuous attempt to dilute any interaction and dialogue with the public when they come up to the podium to speak.

In the infamous words of Mr. Shi - let's try it and see how it works.

Really?

Even when his fellow board members were telling him NO!

So, let's see what might be more important to be discussing after 9 months or so of Mr. Shi's opaque and resoundingly ineffective leadership. Here's a thought or two in no particular order:

  • Lack of open and transparent leadership
  • Lack of a properly functioning board
  • Lack of oversight and proper reporting over the single largest expenditure in the $251m school budget - staffing
  • Lack of an open mind for differing opinions from fellow board members and the public
  • Lack of any meaningful discussion in public of where we are on the overcrowding
  • Lack of any meaningful discussion of why we have an acting super, and interim super and no plans yet for a permanent super
  • Lack of an effective ability to communicate with board members and the public and therefore, the lack of trust in the board that goes with it
  • Lack of any meaningful and open challenge to his leadership from his fellow board members

There's more but I think you get the point. He's the wrong guy for this leadership role and until the rest of the board recognizes this and steps-up - this district will, most likely, not move forward at the speed and pace required to do what obviously needs to be done.

Here, watch for yourself:

Anyhoo, a most disconcerting reign of dysfunction going on over there on Mythomania Lane.

Let the Silly Season Begin here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison!?!

Who better to start things off than Rob 'Mr. Temper-a-Ment' Karabinchak - you remember him, the former Edison councilman who I affectionately refer to the EDO's Greatest Failure. Along with Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro, the Poster Child for everything that's wrong with the EDO - the two best we could come up with to escape the EDO recycle pit.

But I digress, so let's move on.

Here's a flier I got in the mail today. Our 18th District Representatives are claiming they helped us taxpayers with some additional $4,274,601 in state school aid. First, let's be truthful here about the numbers. Included in the governor's budget was an additional $774,601 in state aid and it was Senate President Sweeney's legislation to rebalance the state aid that resulted in the extra $3,500,000 for a total of $4,274,601.

Now back to their claim that they 'helped us taxpayers' with some additional state aid.

Well, I'm a taxpayer here in Edison and I didn't get any help with my school taxes from this additional money, did you?

Oh wait, I forgot - they didn't really help the taxpayers because the Board of Mythomania kept the additional money and didn't use it for tax relief as it was meant to be used. You can read all about it in previous posts.

Geez, you'd think they would know that before they put this flier out.

So, a Big OOPS to our 18th District Representatives - maybe you'll have better luck in one of the other towns in the district with this Silliness! I'm sure East Brunswick, Highland Park, Metuchen, South Plainfield and South River appreciate all your help too.

Anyhoo, welcome to Silly Season and Keep voting for More of the same. I sure want some more Help from them that I almost Got.
