Pandemic Raises NJ Unemployment Rate to 15.3% - Pandemic Raises Edison Muni-tax Increase to 7.37%?!?

Well, in Mayor Lankey's Introduced Muni Budget for 2020 - Muni tax rate is going up to $1.374 (Per 100), which is up 9.4-cents or 7.31% over last years $1.280.

Library tax rate is going up to $0.087, which is up .007-cents or 8.38% over last years $0.080.

Total Muni tax rate is going up to $1.461, which is up 10-cents or 7.37% over last years $1.361.

Anyhoo, there's nothing more I can possibly say about this.

The People of Edison really deserve better Representation than we've been getting on both sides of town, and I truly hope you get it someday.

Peace Out Edison.

Just got an answer from the Edison Board of Mythomania on Super Bragen's use of his @edisonsupt Twitter account

Well, if you look back to the February 24th post you see the issue I had with Super Dr. Bernie 'ShiReferenDUMB-ER' Bragen's use of his @edisonsupt Twitter account. You can read what I said and what he said in there - and I asked for the Board's position on it.

Remember he used his title in his Twitter name, commented on the school district and I noticed he linked it to the school district's website while blocking opposing viewpoints and claiming it was his personal account.

Just got their answer. I'm advised that I'm unblocked from @publicsc1 (Edison Public Schools) that I didn't even know I was blocked from that one that apparently was just created in February 2020.

Further he no longer has his @edisonsupt Twitter account linked to the school district's website. Well, that's good.

So, here we are. We have a Superintendent of Schools with a School Budget closing in on $300 million using an @edisonsupt Twitter handle while commenting about the School District on social media and blocking any opposing views or challenges to what he's saying and the Board can live with this?

Ok, it is what it is but recognize that whether they consider this his personal account or not - why would the Board want a Super who blocks opposing views on what he says or does when opining on the school district?

Anyhoo, you have to wonder why if what he has to say about the school district is so important - then why is it blocked from public scrutiny?

Edison Council-Limbo Meeting - how low can you go! Very Sad

Well, listened to the Council meeting from the other night and, quite honestly, found it to be quite disturbing even for this bunch of Power-hungry Democrats.

If you live in this town and listened to this meeting, then you should be embarrassed to live here and outraged at their conduct.

It was a sad, very sad demonstration of Politics triumphing the needs of People of Edison. Rather than dealing with the serious issues facing the People of Edison, they spent their time fighting each other for position in their never-ending struggle for power within the all-Dem-Party Oligarchy.

Political in-fighting, personal jabs and innuendos and little time to shine light on things important to the People of Edison like Tax increases, Budgets and Covid-19 status.

So, here's my take away from that meeting:

  • The meeting was totally out of control - Council President Ship-Freeman completely lost control of the meeting and let it get out of hand. Quite frankly, she should never of been appointed Council President in her first term on the Council. She was ill-prepared to handle the chaos, much less the normal operating protocol.
  • Dem-Party political in-fighting took over the meeting and fighting for and informing the People of Edison during this Pandemic was no where to be found.
  • Turning the Race card on each other shows their lack of decency and expands upon their uselessness as a governing body while the 'Committee of the Hole' still hasn't gotten to the bottom of the the 2017 Racist Flyers.
  • Too many Mayor Wannabe's using this time trying to stick out in a crowd - horribly so.
  • Politicians using social media to get their supporters to take sides with them when no one should take sides in a fight that's clearly created of their own self-serving ways.
  • The Council has taken this town to New Lows and that should Scare you on so many different levels.
  • Finally, I've lived in this town a long time and seen a lot of Local Dem-party nonsense over the years but if this is the new way they'll be conducting the People's business, then my friends, we should get the hell out of this town.

Edison Covid-19 tax increases keep rolling on - Sewer tax increase 4.9% across the board!?!

Well, first there was the 4.59% School tax increase and now a 4.9% Sewer tax increase across the board for Residential & Non-Residential customers.

Bet you can't wait to see what the Muni-tax increase will be as you try and figure out how you're gonna put food on the table and a roof over your head.

Anyhoo, it is what it is and you should remember how you're being treated by your elected officials on both sides of town during this Pandemic.

Board of Mythomania approves Duh..Duh Ridiculous $277.2m School Budget for 2020-21 - in Your Face!?!

Well, while I can’t bring myself to watch idiocrisy run amuck, I’m told the Board of Mythomania last night approved Super Dr. Bernie ‘ShiReferen-Dumb-er’s’ $277.2m School Budget for 2020-21 by a 7-2 vote. Choke on that Smell for a while.

A School Budget that was even more Bloated than their usual annual Bloated, Out-of-Control $pending, 'Staffing Shell-Game'  pocketbook attacks.

You really gotta wonder what new Super Dr. Bernie 'ShiReferen-Dumb-er' Bragen was doing with this gross assault on the People of Edison at this time.

But, since I'm not much of a fan of his performance so far, given he supported that Ridiculous, I'll conceived, Opaque, Piecemeal and Overpriced $189.5m 'Shi-shed' called a School Bond Referendum even before he was hired and then again becoming the Face for the $183.2m 2nd Bite of the 'Shi-shed' Poison Apple that would of tripled our Current year's School tax for the next 30 years.

And now this Ridiculous $277.2m School Budget Money-Grab for 2020-21 at the worst possible time. That's strike 3 for me on his credibility and leadership performance.

But, in all fairness, there should be some Oversight for what he does or doesn't do over there on Mythomania Lane. So, now you really have to look at the Board.

You know, I respect that all our elected officials try and do what they think is right, that's what they were elected to do. And, while you may not always agree with their decisions, sometimes, and maybe not often, there's something that supports their decisions.

However, this Board's decision to pass this School Budget troubles me. While I can respect they did what they thought was right - I can't excuse in the face of overwhelming evidence right in their faces with this crippling Pandemic to the contrary, their inability to recognize that what they were doing was far from being right under these circumstances.

So, to my friends on the Board who failed to recognize the Oversight needed now over this School Budget, recognize that by doing so you may have gained another Bloated School Budget but you lost the respect of this person. Even if you don't really care what I think, and nobody's saying you should, just recognize respect is important to me.

To the People of Edison, recognize you just got royally screwed with this 2020-21 School Budget by the Board of Mythomania at the worst possible time in your life, and while you may be more concerned right now with putting food on the table than this nonsense - remember this when you can.

Your Pandemic School tax increase - 4.5 times higher than last year's:

Anyhoo, it is what it is and it's an awful disgrace.
