If you had any doubts about who is running this town - it ain't the 'Malleable Marionette.'

Well, saw this piece here 'Misogyny in Full Display in McCabe's Middlesex County' and you just gotta shake your head.

Guess, if you can't beat 'em in the internal Dem-party power struggles, just replace 'em.

Welcome to Edison - Home of the 2017 Racist Flyer.

Anyhoo, you get the type of one-party governance you deserve - enjoy it.

Wednesday, March 29, 2023

Well, here we go again in the never ending Dem-party internal power feud for control.

Well, just saw this piece below about the recent results of the Edison Democratic Organizations (EDO) screening for the 4 Council spots up for election this year.

Now, never been much of a fan of the EDO but, not for nothing, what's the point of even having an EDO if they are going to be overruled every time the County doesn't agree with the results? Aren't all these 156 District Committee people elected by the People of Edison?

Didn't we have enough last year when the County stepped in and overruled the EDO's pick for Mayor by picking an ill-prepared and ill-qualified former Council member who sold out the People of Edison for a chance to climb up the politically corrupt Dem-party ladder? This guy brought nothing to the table from his non-performance time on the Council other than a lack of credibility and trustworthiness.

So, if I'm understanding this piece correctly, the County may again be considering running another slate and giving whoever they are the Party line?

For what reason this time?

Seems the reason for doing it last time was that the EDO ran people against the higher positions on the Party line. You can understand that's probably not something you want to do if you're looking for the Party line.

Surely, it can't be about this 2017 Racist flyer again. You now, the one where Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl promised he wouldn't rest until they got to the bottom of it with their 'Committee of the Hole.'

Something how that works. Five years later and Mr. Shrink-flation is now mayor making $150,000 and Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl is his Chief-of-Staff making $100,000.

Seems getting to the bottom of this 2017 Racist flyer and resolution is a Democratic party problem since it still hasn't been resolved. They're the party in charge and seems their responsibility to make sure we get rid of the Stink & Stench that still lingers over this town.

So, who cares what ticket they pick in their on-going Dem-party power feud for control - what you should be asking is who do you want controlling what happens in this town, the County via a hand-picked Malleable Marionette or the People of Edison?

Isn't it bad enough that they're the party that has brought their power struggles to the worst place possible - across town over there to the Board of Mythomania, aka Board of EdDems, Board of Dysfunction, Board of Hoarders, Board of Education?

Anyhoo, there's never going to be a game-changer in this town until the People of Edison decide to take back control from the Dem-party and put it back in their hands where it belongs.

Well, here's another potential 'Quality of Life Dump' on the South-side of town

Yeah, like traffic isn't a problem over here now without this being added.

Anyhoo, maybe they can share the blight and rezone it to the North-side of town.

A last minute change over there on Mythomania Lane, at the cross-roads of Dysfunction & Ed-Dems Streets

Well, looks like they are approving the 2023-24 Preliminary Budget tonight after all.

Here's the Resolution:

Seems the Hoarders that they be with all that Hoarded Money - that there isn't any Reduction in the School Tax Rate for the taxpayers. Not even throwing us a bone. While we don't know what's in this School Budget yet, we can get some information from the Resolution above and last year's School Budget.

Seems they're increasing $pending by $38,645,133 and offsetting it with a same amount in Other Anticipated Revene leaving the Local School Tax Levy the same as last year.

The School tax rate built into this School Budget is $3.184, which is down 1.3-Cents from last year's $3.197. That reduction in the School tax rate is due solely to the increase in the Rateables of $28,365,900.

So, if you live in that imaginary home assessed at $181,400, then your School taxes will be $5,777 and an increase of $22 from last year's $5,799. If you don't live in that imaginary home assessed at $181,400, then just take your home's assessed value divided by 100 and multiply that number by $3.184.

You can also just drop your home's assessed value below to get your info:

Now, you really want to pay attention to this School Budget when it comes out. With all that Hoarded Money, you really want to see the details of what they're doing or not doing with it since it sure looks like we're getting Royally Stiffed - again.

Anyhoo, it is what it is and until you change the Board of Mythomania over there on Mythomania Lane, aka Board of Hoarders, Board of EdDems, Board of Dysfunction - they will always come back with the same nonsense that only works if you live in the bizarro-land of Mythomania - like them.

Approval of School Budget for 2023-24 tonight - Not Really

Well, took a look at the agenda for tonight's Board of Mythomania's meeting which says approval of the 2024-24 Preliminary Budget.

Seeing that, didn't see the Resolution needed to be approved before they could send the Preliminary Budget down to the County Super for approval. Seems if they're going to approve something, you might want to see what it is they are approving.

So I asked where's the resolution? I'm told that this meeting is just for the Board's discussion of the 2023-24 School Budget and once agreed upon will be posted on the website tomorrow for approval at next Tuesday's meeting on March 21, 2023.

Now that's nice and all but according to the NJDoe School Budget timetable, the Preliminary Budget has to be down to the County Super on or before March 20,2023 - so you can why I was looking for the Resolution with tonight's agenda.

Be that as it may, will look for the Resolution tomorrow.

Now, more importantly, why is it so important that we all pay attention to this 2023-24 Preliminary Budget when it comes out?

There's a bunch of things going on and this Board is too busy with their petty political in-fighting than fighting for all the stakeholders they purportedly represent.

We're talking about School Budgets that now exceed $300 million dollars (representing 54% of your total property tax bill) and the Board's Leadership and performance over the years has been dismal to say the least.

So why do you want to pay attention to this year's School Budget?

Because they're infamous Hoarders, they sitting on a boat load of money, probably close to $50 million and that's before the $73.5 million in State-aid they got this year, which was $25.9 million more than they got last year. What are they going to do with all that money?

For years now, they continuously fail to properly address the Overcrowding starting with that Bogus $189.5m Bond Referendum that Jerry 'ReferenDumb' Shi and his band of architects tried to pass twice. The voters properly rejected those plans that would of tripled the school tax increase for the next 30 years. Too Much of a Financial Burden for Too Little a solution. Then there was that Ridiculous $93.5 million plan to add classrooms all over the place and was claimed to be of No Cost to the taxpayers. Yeah right, that works only if you live in Mythomania Land over on Pierson Ave. They couldn't ever provide the support behind their own numbers because it couldn't be done with their estimates.

What's this year's mis-guided plan to address the Overcrowding under the Leadership of Shannon 'Shi-bot' Peng? A bunch of piece-meal Lease-purchase agreements so they can go around the voters for capital additions?

The ETEA Contract is up for renewal and how's that being treated in this School Budget?

What's the School tax rate built into this School Budget and what's the change from last year?

Anyhoo, until you recognize that a dysfunctional Board of EdDems is Not a functioning Board of Education - you'll continue to live with this nonsense.

Well, there's something on the March 8th Council Agenda that Screams out for an explanation

Not for nothing and don't place much credibility in Checks & Balances here in this all-Dem party town but you think those responsible for the purse strings would take notice of Resolution R.112-032023 - Authorizing Temporary Emergency Appropriations for 2023 Municipal Budget.

Seems only two months in CY 2023, Emergency Appropriations by Mayor Sam 'Mr. Shrink-flation' Joshi are already at 57% of his entire 2022 budget.

Kind of sticks out and begs for an explanation. Are they just pulling forward some things, engaging in another year of outrageous and unnecessary spending or is it a combination of both?

Don't know but certainly the Council should know and take the time to explain it to the public before they just rubber stamp it.

Is this a preview of things to come with the 2023 Muni-budget?

It's not like Mr. Shrink-flation' is beyond spending your money and benefitting himself to boot. In his 2022 budget, he more than doubled the Administration budget, which included a Big raise for himself. In January 2022, he was making $49,000 and then secretly raised his salary to $75,000 before the Council later raised it to $150,000, along with raises for themselves. That 2022 Muni-budget came with an unnecessary increase in the Muni tax rate to boot.

Here's the 2022 Administration Changes:

Unfortunately, we won't know what's going on here with this Spending until we see the 2023 Muni-budget and who knows when they'll introduce it and the Council adopts it.

If it's anything like last year, we'll end up with another 3rd Qtr. Estimated tax bill.

Those are the worst kind of tax bills - you just get a bill with a number on it that says pay this. No detail or explanation of what's in it. You're left pondering - does it include a tax increase and how much?

Here's the Resolution:

Anyhoo, let's hope the Council doesn't look at the March 8th agenda like they usually do - with eyes wide shut.

Bottom 25 State aid increases in the State:

Edison State School Aid - last 4 years and increases for last 3 years:

Anyhoo, let's see what the Board of Mythomania, aka Board of EdDems, Board of Dysfunction and without Doubt, Board of HOARDERS does with that $25.9 million (54.4%) increase in State Aid in their Preliminary FY 2023-24 School Budget up for approval on March 16th.
