Just another reason why Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi - really needs to step-down

Well, looks light last night's Board of Mythomania meeting was interesting and I don't say it in a good way. Seems Señor Shi, in his infinite wisdom, is trying to force feed this ridiculous now $189 million bond referendum to the other Board Members. A little late now to be trying to convince other Board Members, wouldn't you say, since they already sent it down to Trenton.

So, my question is really to all the other Board Members - when are you going to step-in and take Board President Shi out of the leadership role? Haven’t you figured out yet why you budgeted for 3 bond elections?

He's making a farce of this Board and certainly making anyone who watches these meeting a non-supporter of this bond referendum - even before we can see what it really is or what it should really be.

Think of it this way, this $189 million is a Super-sized version of one of their Bloated, Pots of Money they call their School Budget! They slip those by you every year, don't they?

Watch it.

Anyhoo, you can't throw out to the People that this $189 million is a 'balloon version' of what the number really should be and say that you can only change it 'after the bond referendum is approved.' Who in their right mind would agree to passing such a ridiculous tax on themselves? Duh! Now ask yourself why Shi and his followers on the Board are making this bond referendum roll-out so bad.

Tuesday, May 28, 2019

Well, couple thingies going on over there on Mythomania Lane - you might want to pay attention to!

Well, just saw this Board of Mythomania Special Meeting for tonight in the Notices Section here.

Seems they're going to talk about that questionable $191 million Proposed Bond Referendum for September that they've already sent down to Trenton but we still haven't been able to see the details for as yet.

Pay attention folks - this is one Outrageously Humongous amount they're trying to put on the table, albeit so far, clandestinely.

Next, is this piece of work. It's a survey they have on their website to gather input for the selection of the new Permanent Super. This is a Hoot!

Don't get me wrong, I understand that they're trying to gather information from the community but geez, could we get anymore boiler plate? These questions could be for any school district anywhere in New Jersey.

Worst than the questions they're asking is what's Missing from this survey.

Unlucky for us, but there's no place for Comments! Who ever heard of a survey that didn't ask for comments?

Guess Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi doesn't want you to make any Comments about what's important in a new Super.

Kind of makes you wonder where the rest of the Board is on this Missing piece of information.

Just answer the boiler plate questions and pretend you're being given a say in the new Permanent Super selection.

Anyhoo, here's my answer on the Survey - I check the Strongly Disagree box!

Good to See We have Politicians who Bring People Together here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison!?!

Well, looks like Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey and his Band of Processing Clerks are using this piece of public information put out by Suez to get a certain segment of our Residents to support their $851 Suez Water & Sewer Deal.

Ah.. looks like they're taking a lesson from the Board of Mythomania, when every time they hit us with another Out-of-Control $pending School tax hike (like they just did again, if you're paying attention) - they tell the Seniors - don't worry you can use the State's Property Tax Reimbursement (PTR) to get your tax increase back.

But, I digress, so let's move on.

Recognize this for what it is - an attempt to divide the People of Edison by tricking our Seniors (of which I am one) into supporting this deal since they won't have to pay any sewer or water increases going forward - no matter what the effect is on the town.

That's a Tad Bit Shameful Señor Lankey. As I see it, Kind of Not Nice to be preying on our most vulnerable Residents to sell something.

Anyhoo, what do I know? I still can't figure out how Messrs. Sendelsky & Lombardi are still sitting on that 'Committee of the Whole' - but it's a hole all right!

Edison's Committee of the Whole - what a joke!

Seems the 7 Processing clerks could of saved us all a lot of time if they started this process by swearing themselves in first.

Seems they have better testimony to give than the witnesses they're inviting in.

Do we now need someone to investigate the Committee of the Whole?

Geez, - just have the state and or federal government come in take over the whole damn town and put an end to this dysfunctional Dem-Party freak-show.

Know what I mean?

Video credit to Anthony De Amorin:

Anyhoo, all I'm interested in is who is behind that Racist 2017 Campaign Flyer and not the 7 Processing clerks pointing fingers at each other while interviewing witnesses.

Watch what happens to the 7 Processing Clerks after they messed with the Wrong Woman's Family!

Kudos to Elizabeth Ann Hahn for taking this sniveling bunch of political cowards to school and forcing them to demonstrate, for all to see, who they really represent - their own self-serving interests. Their deafening Silence was only Overshadowed by their lack of Integrity!

Anyhoo, this woman who poignantly asked 'What is Wrong with You People' - just shot a Burst of Sunlight over this shady town!

Edison's Lankey & Shi - Two Sides of the Same Coin!

Two things Need to happen here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison - like Right Now!

Anyhoo, we deserve Better Leadership than offered by these two.

Sorry, but decency can't be found in Edison!

While I recognize that Edison Political Campaigns are all about winning, it's one thing to attack a person's position on something but it's quite another when you resort to attacking the person. Only weak and insecure people resort to personal attacks when challenged.

Seems in this cesspool we call Edison Politics, there's no decency, integrity or simple respect for one other. Politics in its simplest form is just dealing with People. Seems we forget in this town that winning an election isn't more important than how we treat other people.

Further, we seem to forget that these personal attacks not only effect the individual under attack but also their families. This is particularly disturbing when those families have little ones. Why should anyone's small children have to deal with these personal political attacks?

Maybe it's because I'm Italian but I find family is more important than any of the sleaze-bag politics going on in this town.

So, why am I saying all this? It's because of this campaign flyer that I just received which was put out by Messrs. Sendelsky and Lombardi's "Real Democrats.':

To say the obvious that it's childish, juvenile and downright silly is not enough. It's disgusting, vile and demonstrates what happens when you challenge weak and insecure people in the Local Democratic Party.

So, here's what I think should happen now:

  • Mayor Lankey should come out and publicly apologize to the Hahn family and then to all the People of Edison for failing to control his Column A minions.
  • Mayor Lankey should take a peek into his Column A minions Campaign strategy and tactics and put an end to this type of crapola.
  • Mayor Lankey needs to Stop hiding in the background and start acting like the Mayor of the 5th Largest Municipality in the State.
  • Messrs. Sendelsky and Lombardi should then publicly apologize to the Hahn family and then all of the People of Edison too.
  • Messrs Sendelsky and Lombardi should remember to run on their strengths, not their weaknesses.
  • Messrs. Sendelsky and Lombardi should immediately be removed from that, arguably, bogus Committee of the Whole investigating that 2017 Racist Flyer.

Anyhoo, have we really sunk this low in Edison that we allow political hacks to determine how we treat one another?

Friday, May 17, 2019

Note to my friends in the Local Democratic Party - It's probably a Good idea to Not send me anymore Campaign flyers!

Well, don't know why I keep getting these campaign flyers during the Silly Season since I asked them a long time ago to Stop and take me off the mailing lists. Guess that's one of the problems with being a Democrat here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison - they think all Democrats must be deaf, dumb and blind to what goes on in this town!

All right - since they won't Stop, then I feel obligated to comment on it.

Here's one I just got:

You recognize these people, don't you? It's the 'Real Democrats' - whatever that means. I have yet to see what I think is a Real Democrat in a long time in this town. You know, the kind that use to actually be for People and not their self-serving Dem-Party interests.

Anyway, they should be more careful with these flyers. First of all, the 'Real Democrats' pictured here are Not the Candidates the Edison Democratic Party (EDO) endorsed through their screening process. The only thing Real about them is that they're sore losers in a game they happily joined and played in - until they lost, of course.

Boo..hoo..Boo..hoo - somebody get them some Cheese to go with that Whine.

Second, they are listed in Column A. Look at that, they created a new line for the 'Real Democrats.' They must be proud.

Now here's where all you Dem-Party Groupies who always vote the Dem-Party line need to pay attention. If you're going to vote the Dem-Party line - it's Column B, Not the self described 'Real Democrats' in Column A. Confusing isn't it? They try so very hard to do that to you.

Third, they say they are the 'Lankey Team' - now, wait a second here. Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey has a team that's Not endorsed by the Local Democratic Party. As the highest ranking Democratic Party elected official here in Downtown Edison, shouldn't he be supporting the Democratic Party's ticket - which is Column B?

Uh..oh!

On wait, I know. Like the that Racist Flyer 2017 election, where the BoE Unity team had a Lankey Team Banner in the Indian parade. But then Board Members Destefano and Moroney played cute-sey with whether and when they knew Lankey was or wasn't supporting them.

Is it deja vu all over again?

Maybe this is like that. Is this really the 'Lankey Team' or are they making it up so you'll vote for them. I don't know but I'd vote for Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro aka..Deputy Dog (and you know how bad it would have to be for me to actually vote for Charlie) before I'd vote for either one of these two sore losers and most assuredly, Not 'Real Democrats'.

And don't you be fooled into voting for Messrs. Sendelsky and Lombardi. Recognize by voting for them you are tacitly approving Señor Lankey's $851 Suez Sewer & Water deal.

Adding insult to injury, since I live in District 31 - we have Rich Sweeney hooking up with the 'Real Democrats' - and while I like Rich Sweeney - I would say to him, what are you doing Rich? Now throw in Maria Wise - she actually screened against Lombardi and Sendelsky for the Council spots and after listening to her speech and what she had to say - I would have to say to her, Really - now you're hooking up with them?

While I get that in the wonderful world of politics, there are No Political Friends and No Political Enemies, just Political Opportunities - scratch these two latest additions to the 'Real Democrats' if you live in District 31. You really don't want to lower yourself and get tricked into playing in this twisted game going on here.

Go with Steven Nagel and do a write-in for Committee Woman.

Anyhoo, bet you're wondering now if Señor Lankey is really endorsing the 'Real Democrats' or not!

Preliminary School Bond Referendum Costs - $191 million!?! - Duh!

Well, just saw this from last night's Board of Mythomania's Caucus Meeting. Don't know what's in the water over there on Mythomania Lane but their Preliminary Costs for the September School Bond Referendum was presented and summarized (badly I might add) in the slide below.

Apparently, they're focusing on the $191 million number for the six schools shown. Of course, take it that these are only preliminary numbers that don't include any state approvals (preliminary eligible and final eligible costs letters), state aid numbers for new additions or renovations, the NJDOE 130's or the bond financing costs as yet.

Approving these numbers on Monday night to send down to Trenton based upon this public presentation is a joke.

But, then again, $191 million is about as ridiculous as one of their Bloated, Pots of Money they call a School budget. Without proper scrutiny, no one in their right mind would buy into such a ridiculously humongous number from a Board that can't be even trusted with scrutinizing a simple school budget.

Looks like from this schedule there will be some serious conversation about these numbers.

Got a request in now to see the detail backup for these numbers (as described above) including the detail cost per square foot estimates used.

Not for nothing but this is what we get after a year and half and numerous Overcrowding Committees?

Board President Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi needs to step-down for a whole bunch of reasons but putting something like this out makes his leadership even more laughable.

Anyhoo, as soon as they release the detail numbers, I'm sure we can have a serious conversation about what they're thinking and what they're doing over there on Mythomania Lane.

..and the 7 Processing Clerks are off - the Good, Bad and Ugly of it!?!

Well, the Edison Council of the Whole investigating that Racist Flyer from the 2017 election had their first meeting last night. I was told there was a live recording of the meeting on FaceBook and had a chance to watch it this morning.

As I said before, don't place much confidence in this bunch of 'Real Democrats' (and those Not Real, I guess) getting to the bottom of this flyer - after they let the Stench Hang over this town for a year and half now - but it's important now?

Sorry, but as someone smarter than me once said - 'No matter how skeptical I get, it's never enough to keep up.' That's exactly how I feel about the all Dem-party governance in this town. To me, they'll always be the Party that Made Edison Safe for Hypocrisy. But hey, that's just me.

Like I pointed out how frightening this was before, whenever you see Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro aka..Deputy Dog show up for a meeting - you know something's going on that's not in your best interests. But hey, maybe he can give the 'Real Democrat' Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl some advice on being a Freeholder - and maybe point out to Señor Lankey what a great addition he would be to his staff.

What? You think the County would ever have 2 Freeholders from the same town or the Poster Child for Everything that's Wrong with the EDO wouldn't make a Great addition to Señor Lankey's staff?!??

Be that as it may, given everything going on in Local Dysfunctional Dem-party now, this whole process kind of reminds me of what happens out in the wild kingdom when you run out of food - you start eating your own.

Come on now, you have two of the 'Real Democrats' sitting up there with a Campaign flyer out right now for the primary labeling one of their invited speakers a 'Defective Detective.'

Double Duh!

But I digress, so let's move on. According to Council President Alvaro 'KaraMia' Gomez they'll be another meeting on May 23rd and have another in June - or as many as they'll need. Hey, we could go on forever and maybe get an answer before they all leave office.

But all is not lost and you should watch the meeting. It was a Tad Bit interesting to say the least. Seems to me that there was some good things, some bad things and some down right ugly things going on last night.

Here's how I see it:

The Good:

  • Someone took the time to do a Live FaceBook feed of the meeting so everyone could watch it. So, Kudos to Mr. Anthony De Amorin for that effort.
  • There was a Big turnout of Residents, which is always a good thing when something as important is going on in town.
  • Former Board of Education Member Paul Destefano and Current Board of Education Member Beth Moroney - got to share their involvement with Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi's  BoE Unity team and what facts they had and what opinions they had. It was their opinion that Jerry Shi was behind the flyer.
  • Keith Hahn got the chance to do something very important last night and it wasn't just the chronology he put out from his investigation - and that was to point out his displeasure with the way he and his family were treated by the Democratic party and their minions and pushed-back right into the faces of those 7 Processing Clerks. That, my friends, was worth it's weight in gold - no matter what happens with this investigation.
  • Keith Hahn telling the Council Members currently up of election that he would not respond to any questions that were political or not related to the flyer. That was Good!
  • Seems there's now a clear need to hear from the Edison Democratic Party (EDO) Chairman, Board of Education Members Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi, Falguni Patel and Shannon Peng as well as Jaffe Communications and El Jefe Senior Lankey.

The Bad:

  • Keith Hahn didn't answer the ultimate question of who he believed was responsible for the flyer. Although he believes it was an inside job - he left it somewhere in the inner workings of the following four groups; People for Progress, Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi's BoE's Unity Team, Mayor Lankey's Campaign and the EDO.
  • Bob 'See NoConflict' Diehl questions were more Kissee face than relevant. He should of just stepped down a planted a big one on Keith Hahn - but hey, he's determined to get to the bottom of this flyer.
  • Looks like Sam 'big-Boy Pants' Joshi once again left his big-boy pants home and proves once again he's just not up to playing in the twisted world of Dem-party politics. He needs to be sent back to the EDO  Recycle Bin to get some more training.
  • Don't know what Council members Patil and Coyle added to the meeting. If anybody knows, please let me know.

The Ugly:

  • Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate ChoiLankey' was allowed to make an opening statement without being sworn in and, among other things, he stated this process shouldn't be political - yet if you listen to him - he made a political speech! Wow! And nobody objected to that happening? Not for nothing but isn't he key on the list of witnesses asked to give sworn testimony? Recognize that he'll probably be allowed to bat clean-up in this process with his sworn testimony but geez, that was really ugly and should give you an idea where this thing is going.

Enjoy the Show:

Anyhoo, get some popcorn and watch what happens in your town when the truth struggles through the Stench to come to the surface.

Edison Council's Committee of the Whole - let's hope it's Not a Black Hole!

Well, saw this piece here about Mayor Lankey's 'Band of 7 Processing Clerks' finally getting around to investigating that Racist Campaign Flyer from the November 2017 election. The Stench of this thing has been left hanging over this town for so long that it's growing hair on it.

Seems the 'Real Democrats' here in the 'DemBadLands' are going to help us get to the bottom of this once and for all during this election season.

Apparently, Council President Alvaro 'KaraMia' Gomez has appointed a subcommittee of Council Member Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl, Council Member Mike Lombardi and, my favorite, Council Member Sam 'big-Boy Pants' Joshi for meetings on May 14th and May 23rd (and more if necessary).

There's a list of those who they invited to give testimony under oath and some (who haven't responded) that will be issued subpoenas.

Hey, not for nothing, but this has got to be a Tad Bit more important for Joshi than taking time to put out a ridiculous Halloween video or providing public information about what's on your property tax bill - that's already on your tax bill.

But I digress, so let's move on.

Nobody wants to know the truth of this matter more than yours truly. The politics of this town has turned it into an ugly mess that continues to besmirch the Good People of Edison.

But, you'll excuse me though if I don't place much confidence in this sub-committee of 'Real Democrats' to get to the bottom of this matter.

I sincerely hope that the only credit I give in this process isn't just for the photo below, that sadly captures my thoughts on all of this:

Anyhoo, you should pay attention to what happens over there at 100 Oligarchy Blvd.

Job Posting - Edison Superintendent of Schools

Job posting from NJASA for Edison Superintendent of Schools:

Anyhoo, not the best written job posting for what this school district is and what it needs but it is what it is. This district presents a challenging yet exciting opportunity for the right person - don't see that come across in this posting. Just once though, I'd like to see someone ask for a demonstrable proven record of performance to go along with just asking for experience. Anyone with a job can claim experience.

Closing date September 30, 2019.

Tuesday, May 7, 2019

Somebody get Messrs. Sendelsky & Lombardi Some Cheese to Go with their Whine! - Preferably a Kind that Won't Add To the Stench Already Hanging Over this Town!

Seriously, never was much of a fan of the Edison Democratic Organization (EDO). Always thought of it as the Party that made Edison Safe for Hypocrisy. Further,  they gave up their claim of being the Party of the People of Edison a very long time ago.

Their one-party rule in this town has made the perils of one-party government a long-time reality and checks and balances something you only read about in textbooks.

So, you can imagine, while nothing they do in this town surprises me anymore, it's kind of hard to understand this 'Group of 5' - now called Edison Democrats 2019.

You know who they are. It's the ticket of Sendelsky and Lombardi running for Council, Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl running for Freeholder and Samip (Sam) 'big-Boy Pants' Joshi and Alvaro 'KaraMia' Gomez running for Committeemen.

All running off the Democratic Party ticket. Seems Sendelsky and Lombardi didn't have any problems or complaints when they won the Dem-Party's endorsement at the screening process but apparently are crying like sore-losers now that they lost the endorsement.

Hey, you can't reap the rewards the Local Dem-Party throws your way and then complain when they take it away. If you agreed to play by their rules, then you have to accept it when it's your time to go.

Sendelsky and Lombardi should just respect the vote of this Local Dysfunctional Party they joined and quietly Go Away.

And just out of curiosity, what's a Real Democrat mean? I keep hearing it and from what I can see, don't get how any of the 'Group of 5' would be what a Real Democrat means to me. But hey, that's just me.

Which brings me to the point of all this nonsense. Saw this flyer paid for by the Edison Democrats 2019:

Well, where to start?!?

First, let's start with traitor, liar, disloyal and phony language. That's nice - if your in the 3rd grade - even then, you'd probably have a problem with your parents. Name calling just isn't the best way to make your case as to why someone should vote for you - and not for nothing, no explanation as to why they used these terms to describe their individual opponents. Guess you have to take their word for it about their opponents and forget about their records.

Next, Real Edison Democrats Fight Back - once again, what's a Real Democrat? Someone who loses but won't accept the outcome and Go Away?

Next, Fight for the Heart and Soul of Our Democratic Party! - what, the Dem-Party lost their Heart and Soul when Sendelsky and Lombardi lost their spots? That's a Hoot!

Next, Edison's Democratic Party is being Hijacked! That's a good one. The Local Democratic Party was Hijacked all right - Hijacked by the EDO from the People of Edison a long time ago.

Next, Don't get Fooled by Lies & Strong-Arm Tactics! Got a good chuckle out of this one. Nah, the Local Dem-Party never lied or used strong-arm tactics in their processes.

Finally, it's good to know that the EDO Chair is taking his marching orders from Democrat-turned-Republican and Defective Detective Keith Hahn. That's just Nice!

You know this power struggle in the Local Dem-Party is getting boring now and suffice to say the town is a mess. You need only look to the highest elected Dem-party official in Downtown Edison to say thanks for this mess - and that's Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey. Thanks Tom for making Edison what it is now.

But you know what really concerns me - it's not these juvenile flyers, it's the fact that the 'Group of 5' is part of the 7 Processing Clerks which make up the Committee of the Whole that's supposed to be investigating the Racist Flyer from the 2017 election - after letting the Stench Hang over this Town for So Long.

So, you have this 'Group of 5' (who put out flyers like the above) who broke away from the Local Dem-Party and who now are investigating, while also taking shots at the Dem-Party Chair and Keith Hahn.

Geez, bet you probably can figure out where this investigation is heading for this election cycle.

Anyhoo, if you're a Democrat in this town, you should Hang Your Head in Shame with what's going on here.

Edison Board of Mythomania Passes $262.1 million 2019-20 Bloated Pot of Money - 7 to 0!?!

Well, just saw the video below of last night's Public 2019-20 School Budget Meeting and can't say much about the somewhat parochial presentation given or Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi and his Band of Enablers support for this budget.

Seems they don't want to tell you what this budget does to the school tax rate, staffing, and other anticipated revenue to name a few thingies - just that it goes up by $113 for the taxpayer who lives in that mythical average home assessed at $178,300. You can see what this budget does to You in the post below.

Pitiful, to say the least after they had a public meeting without anyone knowing what was in the school budget until you walked into the meeting.

Also, seems like no one proofed the presentation since on one slide they had the Total School Budget at $262,098,396 and $262,458,396 on another slide. So, who knows what to believe.

Actually, you shouldn't believe anything coming out of Mythomania Lane as this demonstrates. See the March 24th post for thoughts about these less than useful public budgets.

Not surprised that they passed yet another in a long-line of Bloated Pots of Money they call a School Budget. It's always going to be this way until you get people on the Board who understand budgets and want to seriously treat the taxpayers as an equal stakeholder in the process and not just a cash-cow for their excesses, misdirection and lack of transparency.

Be that as it may, a Big Shout-Out and Kudos to Mr. Andrew Hibell for his excellent questioning of the Board on staffing, legal fees and why they have budgeted 3 elections for the upcoming Humongous Bond Referendum already scheduled for September.

Watch Mr. Hibell address the staffing and push-back all their attempts to confuse and mislead the public.

Anyhoo, made a request for the 2019-2020 School Budget and as soon as I get it, I'll add it to this post so you can see the detail - as useless as it may be in understanding what's really going on over there on Mythomania Lane.

Here's the 2019-20 School Budget:

Read it and have a good laugh cry - You're Paying for letting this go on year-after year-after-year!

Monday, May 6, 2019

Edison Board of Mythomania's Public Meeting on their $262.1m Bloated 2019-20 School Budget - you gotta show up to see it!?!

Well, just saw the agenda (below) for tonight's Public Meeting on the School Budget. Seems the first question should be - how do you have a Public Meeting on the School Budget Without first releasing it to the Public?

Seems a Tad Bit unfair, don't you think? You can't see what they're voting on unless you go to the meeting and maybe then see a budget hand-out and have to digest 30 pages or so in a few minutes if you want to ask any questions or make comments?

Even though we don't get to Vote on these Bloated Pots of Money they call School Budgets (thanks to the 7 Cluck..Cluck Processing Clerks) these days, you think we should at least be able to see before hand what it is they're Voting on before they vote on it?

Gotta get a Kick out of the transparency going on there over on Mythomania Lane.

Be that as it may, from the School Budget Resolution above, you can figure out and see a few thingies:

  • This School Budget Raises the total $pending by $11.4 million or 4.55%.
  • It increases Other Anticipated Revenue by $9.1 million or 32.34% (see comments in the March 24th post after you stop laughing about this number).
  • State aid is meant to Reduce the Local Tax Burden, Not to Increase $pending.
  • It Raises the Local School Tax Levy by $2.3 million or 1.02%.
  • It Raises the School Tax Rate to $3.107 which is up 6.3-Cents or 2.1% over last year's $3.044 or $3.045 if you look at your tax bill to see what you were actually charged.
  • The $pending increase is up 2.78% offset by a reduction due to the Ratables increase of .72%.
  • It's A Big Fat, $tick it to the taxpayers Bloated Pot of Money for the Gazillionth year in a row.
  • Here's a thought - if you cut $4.8 million out of the $pending increase in this school budget and they should (and that's being kind), the school tax increase in this budget would drop in half. Time to Stop increasing the Bloat and Fat in these budgets that grow exponentially by the 2% cap every year. Make them do their job and eliminate all the unnecessary $pending over there or just cut the $4.8 million and let them eat off the all the Bloat they have stored up over the years.
  • If they wait until the last minute to have a Public Meeting (by May 7th), then they can use the extra week until May 14th to cut the $4.8 million before they must adopt the 2019-20 School Budget.

Here's where you can see what this 2019-20 School Budget will Cost you without seeing any of the double-secret details:

Anyhoo, at least we're comforted in the knowledge that under Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi's leadership, the Board of Mythomania proves again that they have no problem disrespecting the Stakeholder that pays all the bills - the Edison taxpayer. Can You Say OINK!..OINK!

Top 10 Reasons Why It's a Beautiful Day in 'Downtown' Edison!

10. Because you don't mind gagging when Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey and his Band of Processing Clerks try and force an $851m Sewer & Water Deal Down your Throats in spite of the opposition.

9. Because you like the smell of that Stench Left Hanging over the Town by the 7 Processing Clerks from that Racist Flyer from the November 2017 election.

8. Because you like the shirking legislative abilities of the 7 Processing Clerks in scheduling and then canceling at the last minute a meeting on moving the School Board election back to April.

7. Because you get a warm feeling all over when the Board of Mythomania decides to sue ourself over the Overcrowding in the District.

6. Because you're a proud Democrat in Downtown Edison and like that Messrs. Sendelsky and Lombardi decided to run against their own party when they lost the the party's endorsement in the screening process.

5. Because you think it's a Good idea for Councilman Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl to run for Freeholder off the ticket along with Messrs. Sendelsky and Lombardi.

4. Because you like all that Bogus 'Savings' being claimed by the Township on that $1 million School Security Contract while sticking it to Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi and that oblivious Board of Mythomania.

3. Because you just can't believe that the Freeholders would ever have 2 Members on the Board from the same town and hope that Señor Lankey gives Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro a job over there at 100 Oligarchy Blvd.

2. Because it's budget time and you can't wait to see how much more your taxes will go up by those who continue to claim they $tabilized taxes and 'Saved' you millions here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison.

1. Because while Sunshine is the Best Disinfectant - it's Cloudy today in Edison.

'Edison School district Will Pay Township Nearly $1Million for School Security!?!

Well, saw this piece here in Tap into Edison. Sign of the times no doubt but geez, can we give Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey and his Band of Processing Clerks a Big Oink..Oink?

Apparently, the 7 Processing Clerks..aka Edison Council approved a contract with the Edison Board of Mythomania to hire 20 Class III-Special Law Enforcement Officers (SLEO) who will supplement the 25 full time security officers and new Security Chief they already hired.

'Under the agreement, the Township requires the School District to pay the officer's hourly rate, two separate administrative fees, purchase four fully equipped new vehicles, and fully reimburse the Township for training, uniforms and equipment. The estimated annual cost is nearly $1 million.'

'According to the Mayor's office, the Board of Education will be required to pay the Township $3,186 per day - or $573,500 for the 180-day school year - for the Class III-Special Law Enforcement Officers. This includes a 10% administration fee to the Township and a 7.75% administration fee to XTRA Duty, a third-party administrator.'

Seems both the Township and County Prosecutors office both refused to drop the administrative fees. 'The 7.75% administrative fee to XTRA Duty was imposed by the County Prosecutor's office to guard against such (previous) abuse according to sources within the Board of Education familiar with the negotiations between the Township and the School District.'

Lowlights:
  • Seems the 7.75% fee is actually 8.53% since it's on the hourly rate plus the 10% Township fee.
  • 4 new fully equipped vehicles - 2019 Ford Fusions or their equivalent - costing the District up to $100,000.00.
  • Paying for state-mandated school resource officer training course - cost of equipment, training, and operations  - $100,000.00.
  • Reimburse the Township for the cost of uniforms and equipment including radios - may cost up to an additional $30,000.00
  • the new Class III Special Law Enforcement Officers will be under Police Chief Thomas Bryan's command.
'According to the Mayor's office, the school district will actually benefit from the $1 million agreement. Initial estimates show the Board of Education would save $356,500 annually, according to Business Administrator Maureen Ruane. The School district may see even greater savings once the plan is implemented during the upcoming school year, Ms. Ruane added.'

Wow, really Ms. Ruane? What Savings?

When was the last time anyone ever saw a 'Savings' from the Board of Mythomania? A 'Savings' to the taxpayers can only happen when the tax rate goes down. A reduction in a tax increase is NOT a Savings, it's still a tax increase - and that's what you get when you just repurpose money to another budget line.

Geez, who negotiates these contracts?

Oh..silly me!

But hey, at least we're comforted in the knowledge that the Township found a way to squeeze the taxpayers for some more money on top of the 8.53% penalty we're paying for their previous administrative performance.
