The Silly Season in Downtown Edison Awakens the Silly 7 Processing Clerks!?!

Well, remember that racist political flyer from the November 2017 election that continues to leave a Stench hanging over our town by the 7 Processing Clerks, aka Edison Council?

Seems Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl (Now Candidate for Freeholder) is reconvening the Committee of the Whole in May 2019 - see here.

Really Bob? Now that we're in the Silly Season here in Downtown Edison - you finally have something to say when you're running off the line for Freeholder along with your Council Co-horts Sendelsky and Lombardi?

The timing of this thing Stinks almost as much as that Flyer the 7 Processing Clerks have been so silent on for so long.

If anybody buys in to their political shenanigans here - then You deserve them!

Anyhoo, at least we're comforted in the knowledge that it takes a Committee of the Whole to dig a Bigger Hole in this town.

Pay attention to Edison Democratic Committee People Running in the Primary!

Well, this is interesting. Looks like the power struggle is on at the Committee people level in the Edison Democrat Organization. Seems there's challenges on the majority of the 78 Districts. You got those running on the Middlesex County Democratic Organization ticket and those running on the Edison Democrats 2019.

You remember Council Members Sendelsky and Lombardi who lost the screening for endorsement by the Dem Party, they're running against their own party as the Edison Democrats 2019 in the primary. Doesn't that make you proud to be a Democrat here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison?

After looking at all these petitions, seems the EDO might want to explain who gets to run with their endorsement and then maybe revisit their by-laws. We've got elected officials who are committee people, some more elected officials who want to now be committee people, township board members looking to be committee people and committee people who find their way into township employment thanks to township appointments, just to name a few things.

Be that as it may be, here's a shortcut to see who is on what side - just look at who notarized most of the petitions - Anthony Russomanno, Leonard Sendelsky and Jingwei Shi.

Recognize those names?

When are we going to wake up and see how dysfunctional the politics are in this town - on both 100 Oligarchy Blvd and Mythomania Lane?

Anyhoo, what do I know? I still can't figure out why the dysfunctional and self-serving Politics in this town - continues to Supersede the interests of the People!

Really..the answer to fixing the Edison School Overcrowding problem is suing ourself?!?

Well, saw this piece here in NJ.Com about Edison's School Overcrowding. Seems the Edison Board of Mythomania aka Edison School Board is planning to sue the Edison Zoning Board over some of its recent approvals that will increase the overcrowding.

Seriously? That's going to fix the problem? Overcrowding has been a problem in this town for years and because of the inept leadership on both sides of town it was ignored and never properly addressed.

Overcrowding in the Edison schools is a town problem and needs to be solved as a town problem. All these blah.blah overcrowding committees do nothing but waste time and throw into the mix the dysfunctional Local Dem-Party politics going on now - and it's a mess.

Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi has an Overcrowding Committee, Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey says he has an Overcrowding Committee yet nothing is getting done.

Throw in a double secret Board of Mythomania gazillion-dollar Bond Referendum that no doubt will be ridiculous in size and substance given the circumstances and, what do you have?

You have a President of the Edison Board of Education and the Mayor of Edison that just won't work together to solve this problem.

It's the only way you can solve this problem.

Shi's too busy being Shi and Lankey is too busy trying to shove an $851 Sewer and Water Deal down the throats of the Edison residents so he can get his Recreation Center that neither one is doing anything to fix the problem.

So, you want to know why we continue to be in the mess that we are in? It's because there's no leadership in this town - just a bunch of self-serving politicians that can't figure out a way to play nice with each other to solve a serious township problem that's so old now that it's growing hair on it.

Here's Your Problem:

Anyhoo, at least we're comforted in the knowledge that when all else fails - we sue ourself!

On the Ballot Bob - gonna be Diehl or NO Deal?!?

Update - just stopped in at the Council meeting to see what happened with the Suez Ballot question. Long story short, Señor Joshi left his big boy pants at home and Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl was too busy being offended by the politics at Monday night's meeting and while he said he had no problem putting this on a referendum - he voted No to even put it up for a Council vote.  One-Hundred thousand plus residents just got rolled over by 7 Processing Clerks.

Well, what are you going to do Bob with the $851 million Suez Sewer & Water deal now that your running for Freeholder? Gonna go along with Gomez, Sendelsky & Lombardi and not give the People of Edison a chance to Vote on what's gonna happen to us over the next 40 years?

Anyhoo, assuming Señor Joshi is paying attention and puts on his big boy pants, sure looks like it all comes down to You Bob - that is, if a ballot resolution even makes it to a Council vote.

Whatcha doin' Tom!?!

Well, while I recognize the old political adage.. 'Never Complain, Never Explain - your friends won't believe you and your enemies will use it against you,' but really now?

What's this all about?  This Stinks as Bad as that $851M Sewer & Water deal you're trying to cut the People of Edison out of deciding.

What? Some more 'Public Meetings' and then the 7 Processing Clerks on the Council Vote? And maybe, we can hear Señor Sendelsky pass another (less than appropriate) comment about a Resident at the podium to speak.

Not happy that the committee people chose Brescher and Ship-Freeman in the screening process instead of Lombardi & Sendelsky?

As the highest ranking Democratic Party elected official here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison, Messrs. Lombardi and Sendelsky having lost the support of the Local Democratic Party (EDO) in the screening process are now running off the line in the primary and that's okay with you?

Boo..hoo they lost and so some of your support but geez, isn't there some kind of obligation to the EDO to support the candidates that win the endorsement of the EDO - and Not Run Against Them?

Yeah, really solid Democrats here - support the Dem-Party when things go your way and go against it when they don't.

Seems to me that if you join this particularly dysfunctional group and you take the benefits they afford you, then you can really can't and shouldn't complain when they take them away.

Shame on you Messrs. Lombardi and Sendelsky but thanks for showing your true colors to the People of Edison. It should be about the People of Edison and Not You Two.

And Senor Lankey, you really think this is going to help you and also make the EDO Party stronger?

Below, I found the Petitions for  the Edison Democrats 2019 from an OPRA Request & Response on Charlie Kratovil's Twitter feed. Here's the ticket;

1. Michael Lombardi

2. Bhavini Tara Shah (EDO Attorney)

3. Leonard Sendelsky

4. Namisha Shukla

Also, saw some activity at the Committee person level as well as the Republican Organization's ticket for the Primary;

Her's the Republican Primary ticket;

1. Russell Azzarello

2. Cathleen Lynch Kilic

3. John J, Roche

4. Gerald T. Shine

(With apologies if I spelled anyone's name incorrectly. Please let me know and I will correct.)

Anyhoo, good example of the how the Democratic Party powers-that be view the Democratic process here in Downtown Edison - only accept it if it's in your favor.

PS: Hear that Bob 'See No Conflict' Diehl is running for Freeholder off the ticket - geez, Bob - thought you would of had higher aspirations than Freeholder. Do you really want to have to deal with Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro..aka 'Deputy Dog' again? That's a Tad Bit disappointing and a step-down for you, don't you think?

And finally, is it true one of the original Edison Council Choi-bots, Melissa 'Beware the Perils of Perilstein' Perilstein is running for Middlesex County Sheriff? That's a Tad Bit More disappointing.
