Edison 3rd Qtr Property tax bills going out late - Grace Period for payments without interest Extended to September 1, 2025

 Well, not surprising but looks like the 3rd Qtr Edison Property Tax Bills won't be printed and mailed in full until August 8, 2025. The 3rd Qtr Property Tax bills are due on August 1, 2025. The grace period is therefore extended to September 1, 2025 which will give the residents at least 25 days for payment without interest.

If the total Edison Property tax for 2025 remains at 5.959, then just take the 5.959 and divide it by 4 an and multiply that by your home's assessed value divided by 100 - and that will be your 3rd Qtr tax. For example, if you live in that imaginary home assessed qt $183,400 - just take the 5.959 divided by 4 and multiply the number by $183,400/100 and you'll get $2,732.20. If you don't live in that imaginary home assessed at $183,400, then just substitute your home's assessed value.

Anyhoo, it is what it is in this politically corrupt town.

Board of Mythomania wants to $pend $9 million for another athletic field - oh yeah, to keep others from buying the property

 Well, it really doesn't get as ridiculous as this but apparently the Board of Mythomania thinks it's their responsibility to buy up all the land in town to keep the Overcrowding down.

Duh!

A total Waste of time and money and does nothing to postpone the inevitable - we need a new school not another athletic field.

Not for nothing but it's not the school board's responsibility to buy up land in town so it can't be built upon while it ignores an already unsustainable overcrowding situation.

Throwing good money after bad with this continuation of pissing money away on all these piecemeal projects that won't solve the overcrowding and and will all come to a head when the State aid money runs out and they'll be staring down an Humongous School Bond Referendum that they'll never be able to justify after pissing all this money away.
