Poster-child for Edison BoE Term Limits - Shannon Peng - Shi's 'Edison Students First' slate

Well, after 9 years of failing to properly address the Overcrowding, time to say adios to her on Nov. 4th. Not for nothing but Nobody should be on any Board for 9 years.

Be that as it may, this 5-year piecemeal nonsense they got going does nothing but waste all that state aid money while not properly addressing the Overcrowding.

Further, their bogus claims of no tax increase for 5 years comes without context. You see, what they don't tell you is that they didn't have no tax increase over the last 5 years because they reduced costs in any way, they actually increased costs by millions because of all that extra state aid ($342.9 million over the last 5 years).

When that state aid runs out and Stops coming in, and it will, you're gonna be in a for a huge school tax hike thanks to their pissing away all that money with these nonsense projects.

Time to put an end to Jerry 'ReferenDumb' Shi, aka Mr. Shi-shed, Mr. Pac-Man, Mr. WhatsApp's inept and dictatorial leadership over there on Mythomania Lane by forcing his 'Edison Students First' Shi-bots into Forced Retirement on Nov. 4th.

Anyhoo, until you recognize the Board of Mythomania is where the bulk of your tax money goes to get wasted and insist on some effective Leadership & Oversight, you're gonna see millions of your tax dollars go down the drain.

JPS - Class of 2026 Nominations for Hall of Honor

Well, saw this piece on one of the Facebook Groups. Seems they're now accepting nominations for the JPS Class of 2026 Hall of Honor.

The last induction into the Hall of Honor was in 2022. I know, it took me going to the Superintendent to get the information about this process.

Now, I put this up here so there can be another heads-up about this nomination process other than just those made over there at JPS and the process can be made public.

Clearly, after doing a deep dive into the last nomination & selection process back in 2022 (See April 26. 2022 Post - JPS Hall of Honor Class of 2022 - an arguably tainted process) I'm clearly not a fan of what and how this works. Seems to me that there are some serious people out there in the world that have done some remarkable things that should be honored and not what I saw happen in that last process. Let's open up the process so it's not limited to the insiders.

So, if you know anybody who should be considered for such a selection, please nominate them. Looks like you have until November 17, 2025 for nominations.

Anyhoo, let's hope they do a good job and the entire process is made public and is void of any taint, bias and or shame.

Current Edison Board of Ed Salary File (10/08/25) - Start paying attention to the Largest Expenditure in the School Budget

Well, usually request the salary file twice a year or so. It'a important since School Budgets are now up to $378 million and half of it is in salaries and benefits alone.

Important because they don't provide any headcount with their budgets or any other reporting so you don't know how many employees they have by location, department and title.

So, I ask for the information by name, location, department title and salary amount and put together an Excel table that you can sort or drill down on by any of those headings to see what you're interested in. There's some questions about this file I'm still waiting for some answers but you should get the list of what's happening over there.

For example, with this table you can see the number of teachers by location with salary or the number of principals with salary by location etc.

Here's a summary of the latest file by Salary Range:

Here's a screenshot of the table sorted for the the Top 25 Salaries:

Anyone interested in having this file, just hit the 'Email Me' button above and you're welcome to it. It's important that you know what constitutes over half their Ridiculous $pending School Budgets, which are now up to $378 million - with very little accountability for the largest expenditure in it.

Anyhoo, you should really take a look at this salary file.

Time for People Not the Dem-Party to be Represented in the Mayor's Office

Well, time for No More forgotten corners of Edison, No More ridiculous and wasteful spending, debt, No More lying about tax increases, warehouse expansion and uncontrolled approvals of undersized lots and oversized houses, impossible traffic, adding to school overcrowding and infrastructure problems, No More lack of honesty and respect, No More lack of transparency, No More National Embarrassments and No more ineffective and unqualified leadership.

Yes, Virginia - Integrity does Matter!

Please - Put an end to this Embarrassment on November 4th - the Party bosses should of Reconsidered their hand-picked puppets with this guy.

Dave Tingle for Edison Mayor - Best Shot to Break the Dem-party Stranglehold on this Politically-corrupt Town and Bring Government Closer to the People

Well, been saying it for years - the only possibility we have to break the decades long Dem-party stranglehold on this politically-corrupt town is Wards. You can't have one-party government and expect to have any checks and balances and without any checks and balances, you can be assured that the Dem-party's interests will always override the interests of the citizenry.

The Power has to be Put back in the Hands of the People and the best way to do that is to assure the People control the agenda if you have any hope of change.

Take a look at the last 4 years under the hand-picked Dem-party 'tool' Mayor Sam Joshi. Simply an incompetent and immature embarrassment on the town.

Five demonstrable facts about Local Governance under the Last Four Years of the Joshi Administration:
  1. Residents have been impeded and or blocked from any Public Inquiry and Scrutiny of the Administration both at Council meetings, with the inexcusable antics of his ‘Pocket Council' and by blocking Official Council Communications from being entered into the record as well as adding a Gatekeeper to impede or delay OPRA Requests.
  2. The People of Edison had to Sit by and Watch their Good Town being Turned into a National Embarrassment.
  3. An inept and embarrassing Mayoral performance which arguably lacks maturity, experience, honesty, integrity, principles, credibility, truthfulness, political acumen and transparency.
  4. Turned the town into a massive amount of Ridiculous & Wasteful Spending, debt, warehouse expansion, and uncontrolled approvals of undersized lots and oversized houses, impossible truck traffic, adding to the school overcrowding and without properly addressing major infrastructure problems - and he did all this and Still Raised the Muni taxes by Some 7.4%, more than Doubled the Township Debt Yet only Raised the Ratables by a Ridiculously Low 2.6%.
  5. Clearly, he has no idea what he is doing but, to his credit, he is very good at it.

Here's Dave Tingle's view on Wards and unlike Joshi who supported Wards when he first ran for Mayor only to withdraw after elected - Tingle will go for it.

'Right now, Edison elects all council members “at-large.” In theory, that means they represent the entire township. But in practice, it leaves neighborhoods without a true advocate. No single council member is directly accountable for your community’s unique concerns, and residents are often left wondering: Who’s really responsible for fixing our local issues?

I believe it’s time for a change. That’s why I will put the ward system on the ballot & let residents decide whether council members should be elected by neighborhood.

Here’s what that means for you:

    •    Dedicated representation: Each part of Edison would have its own council member who lives in the community they serve.

    •    Direct accountability: If a problem goes ignored, you’ll know exactly who to call — and who to hold accountable at election time.

    •    Every neighborhood has a voice: From road repairs and traffic safety to flooding, zoning, and quality-of-life concerns, no area will be left behind.

Most importantly, the ward system brings government closer to the people. Instead of a name on a ballot, your representative would be a neighbor who shops in the same stores, attends the same schools and houses of worship, and shares the same daily experiences.

This November, let’s bring balance, fairness, and true accountability to Edison.

Vote by Mail ballots are out now — make sure your voice is heard early. Vote Column B & E.

Together, we can build a council that finally works for every neighborhood in Edison.

Sincerely,

Dave Tingle'

Here's a video I saw online:

Anyhoo, because I believe Wards is the only way to save Edison and believe Tingle will go for it, I happily voted for him already and hope you do the same. You'll regret it otherwise if you continue down this road.
