Got to love living in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison!?!

Well, the 7 Processing Clerks (aka Edison Council) just approved and adopted Mayor Tom 'Now 15.4%' ChoiLankey's 2017 Budget with another Non-Amendment - that takes the Final Property tax rate including the Garbage District tax up to $5.386, which is up 11-Cents or 2.1% over last year's $5.276.

So, with yet another year of tax increases all around in 2017, let's take a look back over the last 4-years and see who You should be Thanking:

Over the last 4-years here in the 'DemBadlands' if Downtown Edison, Your tax bill went up by 13%. Let's give a Big Shout-out to all the elected officials for holding the line on taxing you out of town.

To the Board of Mythomania - keep up the good work of sticking it to the forgotten stakeholder, the taxpayers, year after year by continuing to think that your Out-of-Control $pending is an accomplishment and Not an activity.

To Charlie 'I Abstain' Tomaro (Now Deputy-Dog of the Freeholders) - for always looking out for the taxpayers here in Downtown Edison and truly appreciate how you kept that promised 'less than 1% increase' that turned out to be 4.3%. Good job Charlie!

And what can you say about Señor Lankey and his Band of Processing Clerks - even forgetting about the debt and the sewer tax increases, he still dips into your pocket for another 15.4%. And that my friends is how this Local Dem Party Oligarchy makes You pay for their Concept of $tabilizing taxes.

Go ahead...Give them All a Big Hand!

Anyhoo, as someone much smarter than me said, 'we get the type of government we deserve.'

Final Adoption of Edison's 2017 Muni-Budget - up for vote Wednesday Night!?!

Well, looks like the Council has completed their review of Mayor Tom 'Now 15.4%' ChoiLankey's $133.8 million budget for 2017. You remember that one, it's the one that came with yet another tax increase of 1.9-Cents or 1.5% and brought the Muni-tax rate up to $1,288 Per 100.

Seems after excruciating review by the 7 Processing Clerks, aka Edison Council, all they could come up with is a net increase in Appropriations of $33,079.06 and a corresponding net increase of $33,079.06 in Revenues, which has a Net Effect on LANKEY'S 2017 MUNI-TAX RATE OF $1.288 OF:

ZILCH, NADA, NOTHING

So, the Council's Amended Rate is the Same as Lankey's Introduced Rate for 2017.

In other words, yet another Non-Amended Council Amendment.

If you're keeping score, Lankey Raised the Muni-tax by 15.4% over his 1st four-year term and Council reviewed those four budgets and came up with a Council Amended rate of 15.4%.

Don't you just like living in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison where a Local Dem-Party Oligarchy rules the nest?

Here's the amendment up for vote Wednesday night. The handwritten scribble is mine:

Anyhoo, kind of a sad commentary on the Powers that Be to make the People of Edison wait some 206 Days into the Budget year before they get around to approving a Budget - especially something with such insignificant changes as this silly amendment proposes.

Ok, Dr. Frank - time to keep your word and Give the Add'l School Aid Back to the Edison Taxpayers!

Well, saw this piece here about the additional school aid. Seems we're getting and additional $1.5 million in School Aid.

NO HOARDING OR $PENDING THIS TIME DR. FRANK!

Keep Your Promise to the People of Downtown Edison and Give it Back to them! You remember, that $20 thingie.

Since Mayor Tom 'Now 15.4%' ChoiLankey and his Band of Merry Clerks are still diddling around with the 2017 Muni-budget and only estimated tax bills are out now, there's time to get this money back into the 2017 tax rate before it's finalized.

Make sure you have a chit-chat about this with Señor Lankey.

Here's the revised school aid:

By County:
Middlesex County:
And here's the Letter from the NJ DOE linked in the article:

Anyhoo, don't be a Pinnochio on this one again! In the infamous words of Emil 'Do the Right Thing' Ferlicchi, do the right thing and give the money back to the taxpayers. And, if you do give it back, don't try and say you're saving the taxpayers money. All you'd be doing is reducing the Increase you already laid on us. A reduction in an Increase is Not a Savings! It's Still an Increase!

Super Dr. Richard 'Looking for the Exit Ramp' O'Malley - #16 in Top 25 Highest Paid Supers in the State - excluding bonuses & other compensation!?!

Well, what can you say? Seems Senor O'Malley made the Top 25 Highest Paid Supers in the State for 2016-17 here in this piece. And that doesn't include bonuses and other compensation.

Let's give Senor O'Malley a Big Congrats for making the Top 25! He clocks in at $212,344 for the school year 2016-17.

Throw in another $$58,980 in Performance Bonuses since he started here ($17,623 for 2016-17) and not a bad deal for El jefe and his safe-haven contract courtesy of the Edison Board of Mythomania.

Hey, what do I know? I still can't figure out why the Super Salary Cap has so many exceptions!?!

$tabilizing taxes the Local Dem Party Way here in 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison - Raise them!?!

Well, looks like Mayor Tom 'Now 15.4%' ChoiLankey made his presentation in front of the 7 Clerks, aka Edison Council on July 12, 2017 - but it looks like two of them didn't show up and only a few that were there had anything to say (Kisses & Hugs).

Now, we already knew that there was another Senior Lankey tax increase for the 4th consecutive year of his stewardship (you can see what that is and what it does to you in the previous posts). So, rather that bore you what we already know or commenting on his Blah..Blah..Blah presention in front of the choir, I'll just say a few things:

1. Former Councilman Wayne Mascola should of never bet $1 that there would be no tax increase in an election year under this Oligarchy but still, Lankey should give him the $1 as a souvenir just for showing up.

2. Recognize that numbers are boring stuff to present and listen to but maybe it's a good idea, if just for aesthetic purposes, that you make sure those sitting behind you on camera aren't taking catnaps during your presentation. Kind of signals that you're Blah..Blah..Blah rhetoric isn't working.

Here's his presentation off of the township's website.

Anyhoo, you gotta appreciate how much the Local Dems don't really care about you even in an election year.

Tax increases all around from every taxing entity. The 'Out-of-Control' $pending over there on Mythomania Lane cost you another 5.6-cents taking the rate up to $2.988, the County promised that your taxes would go up by less than 1% and they actually went up by over 4% and let's not forget Senior Lankey (now 195 days into the Calendar Year without an approved budget) going up another 1.5%.

Add up all that $tabilization and  Your 2017 Property tax rate is going up to $5.386 for 2017, which is up 11-Cents or 2.1% over last years $5.276.

Welcome to Edison - make sure you get out and vote for more of the same!

Well, pays to have a Dem-Party Oligarchy here in Downtown Edison - 2017 Muni tax rate up another 1.5%?!?

Let's give Mayor Tom 'Now 15.4%' ChoiLankey a big round of applause for finishing up his first term in office with yet another tax increase in his Introduced 2017 Muni-budget.  His budget which I just saw up here on the township's website comes with a Muni-tax rate of $1.288, which is up 1.9-Cents or 1.5% over last years rate of $1.269.

Looks like it's the same rate they used to send out the 3rd qtr. estimated tax bills you can see in a previous post.

So, Señor Lankey completes his first four-year term with a Cumulative Muni-tax increase of 15.4%!?! And you thought they were looking to $tabilize taxes here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison.

But wait, there's hope the latest tax increase can be cut by those 7 Clerks, aka Edison Council, over there at 100 Oligarchy Boulevard since they still have to review and adopt the 2017 Muni budget.

Double DUH!

Remember the definition of an Oligarchy. After reviewing Señor Lankey's first three budgets with a total Muni-tax increase of 13.7%, they tore into THOSE BUDGETS and AMENDED AND ADOPTED THEM TO 13.7%.

Anyhoo, good to be running unopposed and not worried about tax increases in an election year.
