Just so You Know who to thank in Downtown Edison for another year of tax increases!

Well, now that Mayor Tom 'Now 17.1% but Won't Debate' ChoiLankey finally got his 2018 Muni-budget adopted (and no amendment from the 7 processing clerks, of course) with only 5 months left in the budget year, here's where you can see what will happen to Your 2018 Property taxes.

The 2018 Edison Property tax rate is $5.491 (per 100) which is up 11.5-cents or 2.1% over last year's $5.376.
  • The school tax rate is $3.044 (per 100) which is up 6.6-cents or 2.2% over last year's $2.978.
  • The county tax rate (including the open space tax) is $0.92 (per 100) which is up 3.0-cents or 3.4% over last year's $0.89.
  • The muni tax rate is $1.307 (per 100) which is up 1.9-cents or 1.5% over last year's $1.288.

Anyhoo, it is what it is here in the 'DemBadLands' of Downtown Edison and it will remain what it is until you change it.
