Well, here's the contract with Acacia Financial, Inc. to work on the ill-conceived and grossly overpriced Proposed 'You Got to Be Kidding Me' $189.5 million School Bond Referendum slated for a vote on December 10, 2019. If you want to see why I think as I do, go to the July 11th post and look at their numbers for the six schools. It's their numbers, not mine - I just did a compilation and if you look at the detail, it looks like somebody just picked and number ($189.5 million) and made up the detail. These numbers make no sense nor does the Cost of $189.5 million.
Anyway, You should read this contract in its entirety. There's some interesting things in here that may get your attention and also give you some insight as too what Jerry 'Needs to Step-down' Shi and his Board of Silence may be contemplating with Your money.
This is the first step in a two step process for me to get the information we all need to see.
First, I OPRA the Contract and Second, I OPRA their Report which should show how much they plan to bond and for how long and how they plan to bond and what this bonding will Cost YOU (Property tax impact).
Remember, as it sits now, this $189.5 million Mythomania Lane Fairytale leaves $158.4 million on the back to the taxpayers before financing costs. Kind of important to know what the interest will be over the life of whatever it is they plan to bond and/or try and use that old Lease Purchase staple in their toolbox that by-passes voter approval on such capital thingies.
Finally, after I receive their report, I will share with you what this thing will Cost You and proceed to explain to You why, if it stays at $189.5 million, you should Not let them try and hide behind the kids and Vote NO on December 10, 2019.
Overcrowding has been and issue for years over there on Mythomania and I've spent a lot of time pointing out that something needs to be done but just because something needs to be done doesn't mean you just do anything. This anything they're clandestinely putting forth is Ridiculously Bloated and Overpriced, even for what they're proposing to fix the overcrowding, and it's too bad we don't have anyone on the Board of Silence over there who has the where with all to step-Up and Say So.
Anyhoo, pay attention folks, this is too Big a Bloated Pot of Money to Let Go Unchallenged - it's Not all About the Kids, it's all About Sticking it to the long-forgotten stakeholder who pay all the bills, the taxpayers.
